【摘要】：正西南民族大学法学院,始于1952年兴办的“司法专业”,此后除“文革”前后外一直进行司法干部培训。1981年起在进行司法干部培训的同时开始学历教育,开办民族司法干部专科班和普通法律大专班。1986年成立法律系,招收法律专业本科生。1994年改法律系为法学系,下设法律、经济法、国际经济法专业。1998年在全国法学专业统一调整前率先推行了“大法学”招生模式。同年,“法学理论”硕士点获得批准,在填补四川高校无法学理论硕士点空白的基础上,确立了自己的特色——以“民族法学”为主要研究方向。2000年11月,改法学系为法学院。2001年法学专业申报四川省“民族地区法学本科人才培养基地”并获成功,同年“法学理论”学科被评为国家民委重点学科、“诉讼法学”硕士点获准建立。法学院下设法学基础课、宪法与行政法、民商法、刑法、经济法、国际法、诉讼法七个教研室及刑侦与物证技术实验室、模拟法庭等实验(实践)机构,并设有院所合一的“西南民族大学民族法学研究所”。现有教师66人。其中教授6名、副教授12名、讲师33人,博士和在读博士研究生12人。具有硕士学位的教师占教师总数的60％以上。35岁以下青年专任教师具有硕士学位者达86.5％。在长期的办学实践中,法学院培养了一支热爱党的民族教育事业、责任心强、学术水平较高、教学经验丰富的高素质师资队伍。法学院现有40多个民族的在校生1787人,其中全日制普通本科生1636人、硕士研究生151人。在法学院“以教学为中心,教学、科研和社会实践三位一体”教改思路的引导下,全体学生加强政治理论修养培养,注重基础知识、基本技能的学习和训练,不断拓宽知识面、增强实践能力,综合素质稳步提高。近年来,共有170余名学生考取硕士研究生,有数十名学生考职博士研究生或出国深造。在“十一·五”期间法学院将按照“稳定本科规模,大力发展研究生教育,以学科建设为龙头,加强师资队伍建设,强化科学研究,提高教学质量”的发展思路,努力把法学院建设成委属系统和省内一流的法学院。

In the same year, the subject of "law theory" was selected as the key subject of the state civil affairs committee, and the master's degree of "procedural law" was established. The law school consists of seven departments of law, constitutional and administrative law, civil and commercial law, criminal law, economic law, international law, procedural law, criminal investigation and physical evidence technology laboratory, mock court and other experimental (practical) institutions, And the Institute of National Law Institute of Southwest University for nationalities.
