【摘要】：正历史上曾三次连任知县(今陕西境内)的寇准,在位期间两袖清风,很得民心。他不仅没有置买田产家业,还把仅有的三亩地赔了进去。时人形容寇准的衣着是‘破旧的乌纱头上戴,褪了色的蓝袍身上穿,官鞋上,前打包头后钉掌,有几块破处用青线牵’。当接旨进京时,他甚至没有一件体面的衣服。当地百姓听说寇准要走,送来万民衣、万民伞,并筹集了300两白银送给他。寇准说:‘万民衣、万民伞我收下,银子我是分文不取,多谢乡亲们的好意!’百姓给寇准拿过一双新官鞋,留下他的旧鞋子挂在城头。民俗谓之曰:‘清官留鞋,赃官留帽’。
