新文化运动期间《小说月报》的改革

【摘要】：《小说月报》在新文化运动发展的背景下,其杂志的销量持续下降,同时读者主体由旧式文人转变为新式学生与城市大众,原有的杂志内容已经很难满足读者的需求。在这样的契机下,自1921年第12卷第1号开始,《小说月报》在主编沈雁冰的带领下大胆进行改革,放弃以文言章回小说、旧体诗词、改良新剧等栏目为主要内容的办报理念,全面革新内容,成为文学研究会机关刊物,同时也成为倡导"为人生"的现实主义文学的重要阵地。新改版的《小说月报》以积极宣传治世救国之道的办报理念,通过开设专注、专栏、文学家研究、海外文坛消息、评论、创作批评等栏目,刊登大量翻译和白话文文学作品,吸引读者,提升销量,成为新思潮传播的重要阵地,推动了新文化运动的发展。同时,《小说月报》也借助改革,建立起编辑与读者的良性互动关系,使读者从传统的被动参与、被动启蒙转变为积极参与杂志构建的新生力量。
[Abstract]:Under the background of the development of the New Culture Movement, the sales volume of the magazine continued to decline, and the reader's main body changed from the old literati to the new students and the urban public. The original magazine content has been very difficult to meet the needs of readers. Under such an opportunity, since 1921, Volume 12, No. 1, the monthly Fiction, under the leadership of its editor Shen Yanbing, boldly carried out the reform, giving up the return of classical Chinese to novels and old style poetry. The idea of running a newspaper with improved columns such as new dramas as its main content, the overall innovation of the contents, and its becoming the official publication of the Literary Research Association, At the same time, it has also become an important position in advocating "life for life" realism literature. The newly revised monthly Fiction has been actively promoting the idea of running newspapers that govern the world and save the nation, through the creation of focus, columns, writers' research, and overseas literary news. Comments, creative criticism and other columns have published a large number of translated and vernacular literary works to attract readers, promote sales, become an important front for the spread of new trends of thought, and promote the development of the new cultural movement. At the same time, the monthly Fiction News has also benefited from the reform. The positive interaction between editors and readers can change readers from traditional passive participation and passive enlightenment to a new force of active participation in the construction of magazines.
