在华留学生文化智力对其跨文化适应的影响研究

【摘要】:在华留学生在中国的学习和生活过程中,不可避免会遇到跨文化适应的障碍。因此不论对于留学生本人,留学生就读的学校,还是东道国的政府,跨文化适应都是需要加以关注的问题。随着来华留学生数量的逐年增加,在华留学生的文化适应问题也日益得到中国教育界的关注,但总体而言对在华留学生跨文化适应的研究还不是很丰富,且实证研究尤为欠缺。目前关于跨文化适应影响因素的研究多从个体内部心理因素和外部环境因素出发,本文则引入文化智力这一概念,研究在华留学生文化智力对其跨文化适应的影响,并探讨了留学生个体内在的积极心理资本及外部环境的社会支持对这个过程的影响。 本文以文化智力、跨文化适应、积极心理资本的相关理论为基础,采用系统的文献探索和实证研究的方法,讨论了在华留学生文化智力对其跨文化适应的影响,以及积极心理资本与社会支持在其中的调节效应。本研究以武汉大学和华中科技大学的151名留学生为对象,通过深度访谈和问卷调查发现:在华留学生的跨文化总体适应水平普遍一般,且在环境适应和语言适应两个维度上适应较差,留学生的汉语水平、在华时间和先前的跨文化经历对其跨文化适应有显著影响。随后,本文进一步通过多元回归分析探讨了文化智力及元认知性文化智力、认知性文化智力、动机性文化智力、行为性文化智力四个子维度和跨文化适应及其环境适应、日常生活适应、语言适应、交往适应、学术适应、心理适应六个子维度之间的关系,并检验了个体心理资本及其希望、自信、乐观、坚韧性四个子维度对文化智力的预测效应,及其对文化智力和跨文化适应之间的调节效应。研究发现,文化智力对跨文化适应,心理资本对文化智力均有显著的预测作用,留学生的个体心理资本和社会支持均对文化智力与跨文化适应之间的关系产生了一定的正向调节作用。 研究基于上述结论进行了讨论,从留学生个人与外部环境的角度就如何促进留学生的跨文化适应给予了建议。
[Abstract]:In the course of studying and living in China, students in China will inevitably encounter obstacles of cross-cultural adaptation. Therefore, whether for the students themselves, the school where the students are studying, or the government of the host country, Cross-cultural adaptation is a problem that needs to be paid attention to. With the increase in the number of international students coming to China, the problem of cultural adaptation of foreign students in China has been receiving more and more attention from the Chinese educational circles. But generally speaking, the research on cross-cultural adaptation of foreign students in China is not very rich, and the empirical research is especially lacking. At present, the research on the influencing factors of cross-cultural adaptation is mainly based on the internal psychological factors and external environmental factors. This paper, by introducing the concept of cultural intelligence, studies the influence of cultural intelligence on cross-cultural adaptation of foreign students in China, and probes into the influence of the internal positive psychological capital and the social support of the external environment on the process. Based on the theories of cultural intelligence, cross-cultural adaptation and positive psychological capital, this paper discusses the influence of cultural intelligence on cross-cultural adaptation of foreign students in China by means of systematic literature exploration and empirical research. And the regulatory effects of positive psychological capital and social support. This study was conducted on 151 foreign students from Wuhan University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Through in-depth interviews and questionnaires, it is found that the general level of cross-cultural adaptation of foreign students in China is generally general, and the adaptation to environment and language adaptation is poor, and the Chinese level of foreign students is poor. Time in China and previous cross-cultural experiences have a significant impact on their cross-cultural adaptation. Then, this paper discusses cultural intelligence, metacognitive cultural intelligence, cognitive cultural intelligence and motivational cultural intelligence through multiple regression analysis. The relationship between the four sub-dimensions of behavioral cultural intelligence and cross-cultural adaptation and its environmental adaptation, daily life adaptation, language adaptation, communication adaptation, academic adaptation, and psychological adaptation is tested, and the individual psychological capital and its hope are tested. The predictive effects of confidence, optimism and tenacity on cultural intelligence, and their regulatory effects on cultural intelligence and cross-cultural adaptation. Psychological capital has a significant predictive effect on cultural intelligence, and the individual psychological capital and social support of foreign students have a positive effect on the relationship between cultural intelligence and cross-cultural adaptation. Based on the above conclusions, this paper gives some suggestions on how to promote the cross-cultural adaptation of foreign students from the perspective of individual and external environment.
