西非在华留学生学习风格适应性研究

  近年来西非在华留学生的数量不断增加。为此,本文通过定量为主,定性为辅的实证性研究分析这个特殊群体的学习风格以及他们向中国学习风格融合的情况,从而了解中国文化在其跨文化适应中所起的作用。 在回顾相关文献之后,作者根据西非在华留学生在学习风格的四个维度, 即认知风格、沟通风格、关系风格和激励风格各方面可能出现的文化融合提出相应假设,随后对西非国家的本土学生、西非在华留学生和中国学生共 119 名进行了问卷调查,并对一些中国学生和留学生进行开放式访谈。最后通过对定量和定性数据的讨论分析,作者得出以下主要结论。 西非在华留学生的认知风格表现为场依存、合作性、先观察后实践、较能承受不确定性;在沟通方面,他们倾向于使用委婉、非正式的交流方式, 围绕一个话题用修辞性的语言隐含连接相关材料;他们是冲动型学习者,依赖于他人但积极参与课堂讨论。此外他们的学习受到内因和外因的驱动。 参照中国学生的风格,作者发现西非在华留学生仅在场依存、依赖型学习、间接沟通以及对不确定性的承受力方面不断的与中国风格融合,这反映出中国的集体主义文化以及对不确定因素的观念在其跨文化适...
