奥巴马亚太经合组织峰会上的演讲口译实践报告

【摘要】：随着中国和世界的尤其是和美国的联系日益紧密,越来越多的亚太经济国际会议在世界各地召开。亚太地区作为世界上经济增长最快的地区,美国作为世界上最大的经济体,这两大地区的经贸往来随之日益频繁。奥巴马总统作为美国的领导者,他的演讲既能反映美国的政治经济政策,又能为加强亚太地区和平和稳定贡献力量。因此,深入了解奥巴马总统演讲,让更多中国人了解美国具有现实意义。奥巴马演讲是国际会议的重要组成部分,而这些重要国际会议的口译实践也成为口译研究的宝贵资料。本文是一篇口译实践项目报告,口译内容取材于奥巴马总统在2011年的亚太经合组织会议上的英文演讲,该演讲分为两部分,第一部分针对目前亚太地区的经济状况和美国的经济联系,就美国和亚太地区在鼓励贸易,促进能源安全,促进就业,精简法规和保护公共环境方面所取得的进步做了详细介绍,并对未来的发展作了展望。第二部分为记者提问环节,奥巴马总统就伊朗核问题,共和党辩论,中美经贸发展,美国内部刑罚制度以及就业法案等问题对记者作了回答。本文以黄忠廉的变译理论为指导,讨论了奥巴马在亚太经合组织上演讲的英译汉口译。根据上世纪末黄忠廉提出的“变译理论”,翻译的实质是译者根据特定条件下特定读者的特殊需求采用增、减、编、述、缩、并、改等变通手段摄取原作有关内容的翻译活动。近些年,变译理论逐渐由笔译领域转向口译领域。在这一理论的指导下,本口译实践项目报告就奥巴马在亚太经合组织上的演讲口译中出现的口语化现象、模糊信息、中英文语言习惯差异以及难译词,提出了增译、减译以及改译的变译策略与技巧。该翻译项目报告对扩充和完善变译理论在口译中的应用,丰富其内涵具有实践意义。同时,对于我们了解奥巴马的演讲风格及相应的口译策略,在国际会议中如何提高会议交替传译的质量也是一次有益尝试。
[Abstract]:As China and the world, especially the United States, become more and more closely connected, more and more Asia-Pacific Economic conferences are held around the world. The Asia-Pacific region is the fastest growing region in the world and the United States is the largest economy in the world. As a leader in the United States, President Obama's speech reflects U.S. political and economic policies and contributes to strengthening peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region. So it's realistic to learn more about President Obama's speech and get more Chinese to understand the United States. Obama's speech is an important part of international conferences, and the interpretation practice of these important international conferences has become a valuable material for interpreting research. This is an interpreter practice project report based on President Obama's English speech at the APEC meeting in 2011, which is divided into two parts. The first part focuses on the current economic situation in the Asia-Pacific region and the economic ties of the United States, and on the role of the United States and the Asia-Pacific region in encouraging trade, promoting energy security, and promoting employment. The progress in streamlining laws and protecting the public environment is introduced in detail, and the future development is prospected. The second part is a reporter's question section. President Obama answered questions on the Iranian nuclear issue, the Republican debate, Sino-US economic and trade development, the United States' internal penal system, and the Employment Act. Under the guidance of Huang Zhonglian's translation theory, this paper discusses the English-Chinese interpretation of Obama's speech in APEC. According to the "variable translation theory" put forward by Huang Zhonglian at the end of last century, the essence of translation is that the translator adopts the translation activities of increasing, decreasing, editing, narrating, shrinking, and so on, according to the special needs of the specific readers under the specific conditions. In recent years, the theory of variable translation has gradually shifted from the field of translation to the field of interpretation. Under the guidance of this theory, the report of the interpretation practice Project proposes additional translations of the colloquial phenomena, vague information, differences in Chinese and English language habits and difficult words in Obama's speech interpretation in APEC. Translation strategies and techniques for reducing translation and changing translation. The translation project report is of practical significance to expand and perfect the application of variable translation theory in interpreting. At the same time, how to improve the quality of consecutive interpretation in international conferences is also a useful attempt for us to understand Obama's speech style and corresponding interpretation strategies.
