“土著影像”与后殖民时代的影像民族志

【摘要】：以自传式纪录片为载体的"土著影像",是20世纪60年代由美国人类学者索尔·沃斯和约翰·阿代尔进行"纳瓦霍人电影计划"之后,在世界范围内蓬勃发展起来的土著文化自我表述和"影像赋权"。土著族群自我表达、自我呈现的"影像民族志",根本性地改写了民族志电影作者与被拍摄对象之间的关系,在一定程度上消除了影像创作的文化殖民霸权,产生了更为深入、具有丰富阐释价值的影像文本,在当代视觉人类学的发展过程中占有无可替代的重要地位。
[Abstract]:"Native Images", based on autobiographical documentaries, was created by American anthropologists Saul Voss and John Adair in the 1960s after the Navajo Film Project. Self-expression and image empowerment of indigenous cultures have flourished around the world. The "image ethnography" of indigenous peoples' self-expression and self-presentation has fundamentally rewritten the relationship between the authors of ethnographic films and the subjects being photographed, and to some extent has eliminated the cultural colonial hegemony of image creation, and has produced a deeper one. Image texts with rich explanatory value play an irreplaceable role in the development of contemporary visual anthropology.
