什么是命题——从两种命题处理方案来看

【摘要】:“命题”是逻辑学的重要概念之一。什么是“命题”?对这个问题传统逻辑和现代逻辑有不同的回答。并且,随着现代逻辑的发展,对“命题”的内涵有一些新的理解。鉴于此,本文以“什么是命题”为主导,对“命题”这个概念的内涵的演变进行了详细考察,特别是对现代逻辑中两种不同的命题处理方案——以可能世界语义学为基础的命题方案和言语行为理论的命题方案进行分析,并且做出比较和评价。在此基础上,试图进一步发现对于命题理解的转变背后更为本质的东西。 以下是本文各章的基本内容: 第一章,讨论了两种基本的命题观。以逻辑学一般认可的两种命题界定为基础,重点讨论亚里士多德的命题观和弗雷格的命题观,进而指出这两种命题观代表了传统逻辑命题观向现代逻辑命题观的转变。 第二章,考察了以可能世界语义学为基础的命题处理方案。通过分析以可能世界语义学为基础的命题界定,看它是如何理解“命题”,如何处理命题与“命题态度”、命题与“真”的关系问题以及“命题同一性条件”等问题,进而指出这种命题处理方案的进展和不足。 第三章,考察了言语行为理论对命题的理解及其命题处理方案。通过考察言语行为理论的两个代表人物奥斯汀和塞尔分别是如何理解“命题”、如何看待命题与“真”“命题态度”、以及命题与作为语言主体的人等的关系问题,分析和总结了这种命题处理方案所蕴含的新的命题观和逻辑观。 第四章,对两种命题处理方案进行比较。进一步比较分析了两种命题处理方案,重点寻求每种方案背后所代表的不同的逻辑学发展道路,从而确立我们对命题的理解和对逻辑本身的审视。 本文的创新之处主要在于以下几个方面: 首先,从“命题”概念内涵的自身演变入手,可为我们提供一种全新的考察命题的极好的切入点,因此在一些有关“命题”的具体的问题上得出了一些不同的看法和新的见解;其次,也是更为重要的,对言语行为理论的命题界定给予了前所未有的重视,在此基础上肯定了这种命题处理方案所隐含的新的逻辑观;最后,基于对两种命题方案的比较,得出倾向性的结论:即逻辑关注的视角应该得到扩展,尤其是肯定了作为主体的人应该进入逻辑研究的视野,认为它代表了逻辑发展的另外一条道路。这种肯定也隐含着笔者自己的逻辑观,因此也是最为重要的一点。
[Abstract]:Proposition is one of the important concepts in logic. What is a "proposition"? There are different answers to this question from traditional and modern logic. Moreover, with the development of modern logic, there is some new understanding of the connotation of propositions. In view of this, this paper takes "what is a proposition" as the leading factor, and makes a detailed study on the evolution of the concept of "proposition". In particular, two different propositional solutions in modern logic, propositional schemes based on possible world semantics and propositional schemes in speech act theory, are analyzed, compared and evaluated. On this basis, we try to find out the more essential things behind the transformation of propositional understanding. The following are the basic contents of each chapter: the first chapter discusses two basic propositions. Based on the definition of two propositions generally accepted by logic, this paper mainly discusses Aristotle's propositional view and Frege's propositional view, and points out that these two propositional views represent the transformation from traditional logical propositional view to modern logical propositional view. In the second chapter, the propositional processing scheme based on the possible world semantics is investigated. By analyzing the definition of propositions based on possible world semantics, we can see how they understand "propositions", how to deal with propositions and "propositional attitudes", the relationship between propositions and "truth", and "propositional identity conditions". Furthermore, the paper points out the progress and deficiency of this propositional treatment scheme. The third chapter examines the speech act theory's understanding of propositions and their propositional processing schemes. By examining how Austin and Searle, the two representatives of speech act theory, understand "proposition", how to look at the relationship between proposition and "truth" propositional attitude ", as well as the relationship between propositions and people as language subjects, etc. This paper analyzes and summarizes the new propositional view and logic view contained in this propositional treatment scheme. Chapter four compares the two propositional processing schemes. In this paper, we compare and analyze the two propositional processing schemes, and focus on seeking different ways of logic development behind each scheme, so as to establish our understanding of propositions and the examination of logic itself. The innovation of this paper mainly lies in the following aspects: first, starting with the evolution of the concept of "proposition", It may provide us with an excellent entry point for the examination of propositions, so that some different and new views have been drawn on specific issues relating to "propositions" and, secondly, more importantly, On the basis of giving unprecedented attention to the definition of propositions in speech act theory, this paper affirms the new logic view implied by this kind of propositional treatment scheme, and finally, based on the comparison of the two propositional schemes, The conclusion is that the perspective of logic concern should be expanded, especially that the person as the subject should enter the field of view of logic research, and that it represents another way of logic development. This kind of affirmation also implicates the author's own logic view, therefore is also the most important point.
