【摘要】：英国赫里福德大教堂发现的这幅中世纪世界地图绘制在一张牛皮纸上,整个画面都未采用托勒密的几何学绘图法,内容上则是把耶路撒冷描绘成世界中心,把地球当作耶稣躯体,在图的南部一横绘着尼罗河与顿河,中间一竖绘着地中海,构成丁字形的水体将大陆分为亚、欧、非三块,英国则被无关紧要的排在边缘地带。
[Abstract]:The map of the medieval world discovered by Hereford Cathedral in England was drawn on a piece of Kraft paper, without the use of Ptolemy's geometric drawing method, which depicts Jerusalem as the center of the world. Regarding the earth as Jesus' body, the Nile and Don are drawn in the southern part of the picture, and the Mediterranean is vertically drawn in the middle. The water body that forms the D shape divides the continent into three parts: Asia, Europe, and not three, and Britain is arranged on the edge of nothing.
