[Abstract]:Many viewers are confused by the "Urruk" mentioned in "the Descent of the Sun". It is not clear whether this is a fictional place or a real place for the writers. In fact, Uruk is an ancient city, one of Sumerian and Babylonian city-states, on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River about 30 km from the town of Samavo in present-day Musana Governorate, Iraq. 2900 BC was the most prosperous period in Urruk, with about 50,000 to 80,000 inhabitants living within the city wall of 6 square kilometers.
