乡约往事——从杨开道《中国乡约制度》说开去

【摘要】：正二○一五年底,社会学家杨开道《中国乡约制度》一书由商务印书馆重印,时隔六十八年,这部名著以新姿再次呈现在世人面前。其实,早于该书,一九三一年杨先生就发表了《乡约制度的研究》一文,奠定了该书的基础。杨开道的乡约研究,如同他名为开道,属于开创性研究。香港学者朱鸿林教授《二十世纪明清乡约研究》一文评价杨氏该文:"就乡约类型的论述而言,此文几乎可称包举无遗。以后相当多的乡约论著,不管出于抄袭或是出于失考,所举说的乡约都没有超出此文的范围,而且在分析论说方面还多不及此文
[Abstract]:At the end of 2015, the sociologist Yang Kaidao's "China's Rural Treaty system" was reprinted by the Commercial Press. 68 years later, this famous book was reappeared in front of the world as a new gesture. In fact, as early as 1931, Mr. Yang published the study of the Rural Treaty system, which laid the foundation of the book. Yang Kaidao's rural covenant research, as his name is Kaidao, belongs to pioneering research. Professor Zhu Honglin, a Hong Kong scholar, commented on Yang's article on the study of the Rural treaties in the Ming and Qing dynasties in the 20th Century: "in terms of the types of rural conventions, this article can almost be described as exhaustive." In the future, quite a number of articles on rural conventions, whether out of plagiarism or out of failure to take an examination, did not exceed the scope of this article, and were not as good as this article in terms of analysis and argumentation.
