跨文化移情能力作为应对文化冲击策略的叙事探究

【摘要】：本论文采用叙述探究的方法,研究五名赴台参加暑期项目的大陆学生在台的跨文化经历。作者探究了该五名大陆学生作为旅居者是如何运用跨文化移情能力应对所经历的文化休克。作为参与性观察者,在数据收集方面,作者采用结构化的邮件采访以及现场笔记。通过分析五名大陆学生对其在台文化适应经历的叙述,作者发现尽管大陆地区与台湾地区共享几乎相同的语言,但五名大陆学生参与者在台湾仍然遭遇了文化休克及文化关键事件;而运用跨文化移情能力是旅居者适应新文化、应对文化休克的有效策略。本研究发现五名大陆学生参与者的跨文化移情表现归纳为五项策略:“承认、尊重两文化间的差异”、“以开放、合作的态度理解他文化”、“克服敌对意识,以积极态度对待分歧”、“有针对性地、科学地传播和接受信息”和“情感上克服先入为主的文化定式”。本叙事探究的结论,特别是上述五项策略的提出将有助于高校教师帮助学生在主客体文化转变的过程中减压,并且可协助教师加强对学生跨文化移情能力的培养,使其在面临文化休克或文化关键事件时能够从容应对。
