卡特福德翻译转换理论在《中国日报》新闻翻译中的应用

　　本文是一篇新闻翻译报告。报告所选翻译材料为作者在《中国日报》实习期间翻译的英语时政新闻,新闻内容均与中国时政相关,包括对中国提出的“一带一路”倡议的评价与展望,对中国就国际和地区热点问题主张的看法,对中国经济和贸易发展现状的分析,对中国社会民生与环境问题的评价,以及对新时期中国外交动态的分析等。本文所选翻译理论为卡特福德的翻译转换理论。卡特福德是英国语言学派最有代表性的翻译理论家,他以韩礼德的系统功能语言学为基础,从应用语言学角度研究对翻译进行研究,提出文本等值、形式对应和翻译转换的概念。基于句子及句子以下层次,卡特福德将翻译转换分为层次转换和范畴转换两类,通过这两类转换可实现不同语言文本之间的等值。本文拟以卡特福德的翻译转换理论为基础,对作者在《中国日报》实习期间的新闻翻译材料从层次转换和范畴转换两个方面进行分析。在层次转换方面,作者将具体描述英语新闻中的时态和单复数在译为中文时所需进行的转换;在范畴转换方面,作者将按照卡特福德对其进行的分类,分别从结构转换、词类转换和单位转换三个角度对译文进行具体分析。结构转换涉及英语被动语态向汉语主动语态的转换,英语无灵主语向汉语主动语态的转换,...
