【摘要】： 《南征录》、《广右战功录》、《西南纪事》三书作者分别为明代著名政治家张tD、散文家唐顺之、政治家郭应聘,内容载述自天顺年间至万历初年明朝廷讨平广东、广西作乱民众之事。三书内容记载详实,涉及明代各层人物颇多,其所记即包括如沈希仪、殷正茂等明代著名将领,亦载述如韦扶谏、岑金等颇难见于史乘的人物。三书共载述明代广东、广西历史事件数十件,而以广西事件为主。其中颇多重大历史事件如明朝廷于隆庆四年至五年(1570～1571年)大征古田之事;万历元年至二年(1573～1574年)讨平怀远之事均与其它史料文献记载相符,足见作者为文时严谨、求实的写作态度。另有若干历史事件如“擒黄贤相”等可补正史或他史之阙漏;若干内容亦为《明史·沈希仪传》或广西方志如[万历]《广西通志》之史源,故三书史料价值弥足珍贵。载述明代广东、广西历史事件之余,三书对相关地区气候、物产及地理形势亦有关涉,故其为后人进一步研究明代广东、广西相关情况提供了宝贵的第一手资料。由于三作品载述明政府讨平广东、广西之事,故其所述内容均与明代广西土司制度有关,其对相关史料的载述,为后人从具象入手研究明代广西土司制度大有裨益。
