“联邦”的创制与转义

【摘要】："联邦"是近代以来重要的政治术语,但它并非汉语中原有的词汇,而是由西方传教士创制而来。"联邦"一词最早出现是用于对译英文中的united states,但随着国人对世界认识的加深,"联邦"的含义也发生了变化,它开始被用于对译英文federal一词,并最终固定下来。以"联邦"一词为例,中西之间的文化交流呈现出一种互动的模式,即西人创制、国人定义,但是国人在定义的过程中不得不以西人创制的新词为基础,这也正反映了中国近代思维的困境所在。
[Abstract]:"Union" is an important political term in modern times, but it is not the original word in Chinese, but was coined by Western missionaries. " The word "federation" was first used to translate the word "united states," in English. However, with the deepening of Chinese people's understanding of the world, the meaning of "federation" also changed, and it began to be used to translate the word "federal" and eventually fixed down. Taking the word "federation" as an example, the cultural exchange between China and the West presents an interactive pattern, that is, the westerners create and the Chinese define, but in the process of defining, the Chinese have to base on the new words coined by the westerners. This also reflects the dilemma of modern Chinese thinking.
