象头神形象在中国的蜕变

【摘要】:象头神,即毗那夜迦,原本是印度教中的一个神灵,是湿婆神和雪山女神的儿子,司智慧。但是在印度佛教后期(密教时期)却被吸收进来,成为佛教的护法神,起着守护佛法的作用。在随着佛教向外传播的过程中,先后传入中国的汉地和西藏。由于在地域、文化、宗教、社会习俗方面上的差异性,中国汉地和西藏的毗那夜迦的形象及身份也不一样,带有浓厚的地域特色,即使是传入汉地的象头神,在不同的历史时期,其身份及作用也是不同的。本文就对毗那夜迦传入中国汉地和西藏后所呈现出的不同形象及身份作一系统的论述以及对造成这种差异性的原因作一分析,进而考证其在中国的传播途径、考古遗存及产生的社会影响。
[Abstract]:The elephant head god, Pina Nga, was originally a Hindu god, the son of Shiva and the Snow Mountain Goddess. But in the later period of Indian Buddhism (esoteric period), he was absorbed and became the Dharma god of Buddhism. In the process of Buddhism spreading outward, it has been introduced into China's Han and Tibet. Due to the differences in region, culture, religion and social customs, The image and identity of Pina Nga in China and Tibet are also different, with strong regional characteristics. Even the elephant head god, who was introduced into the Han region, was in different historical periods. Its identity and function are also different. This paper makes a systematic discussion on the different images and identities of Pena Nga after it was introduced into China's Han land and Tibet, as well as an analysis of the reasons for the difference. Furthermore, the paper studies its transmission way, archaeological remains and its social influence in China.
