当代美国天主教会研究

【摘要】:美国天主教会是美国多元文化体系的一个组成部分,主要体现在对天主教这一旧大陆宗教意识形态的本土化改造,使之适应新的文化环境,从而构建起具有鲜明特色的美国天主教文化体系。美国天主教会的独特发展历程得益于天主教徒的美国经历和传统信仰的结合。 本土化是美国天主教会发展过程的主线,是传统信仰针对异质文化环境,,为保证可持续发展而做出的适应性调整。世俗化在一定意义上是本土化的延续,是天主教适应现代社会生活的一种表现,也是宗教生命力的重要源泉。美国天主教会表面的世俗化特征,究其实质而言并非对宗教信仰的排斥,而是宗教精神与自由精神的紧密结合。也是美国公民宗教理念社会实践的重要组成部分。对于本土化和世俗化线索的认识和把握也即是本文研究的前提。 本文将研究目标定位于美国当代天主教会。全文共分五部分,第一部分探讨了当代美国天主教会研究中的几个基本问题,包括美国天主教会研究涉及的基本理论与概念,研究的范围及研究现状。 第二部分回顾了美国天主教会的历史渊源与发展过程。20世纪以前的美国天主教会带有明显的欧洲移民的民族性和国家性;到20世纪上半期,教会的主体部分完成了本土化进程。探讨梵二会议和美国天主教会之间的互动关系,是了解当代美国天主教会的必要途径。 第三部分探讨了美国天主教会的宗教机制与教徒状况,内容包括美国高层教区建制与基层教区权力执行、平信徒整体状况分析,以民族教区的瓦解为着眼点来探讨本土化的进程。重点分析了年轻一代教徒和拉美裔教徒这两个对美国教会未来走向有着重要影响的群体。 第四部分着眼于教会的世俗功能,从政教关系和社会伦理两个层面展丌论述。美国天主教会对于社会政治生活的参与通常集中在某些特定领域。教会高层在社会政治参与中表现出鲜明的保守主义特色和道德宣教功能。教会的社会伦理集中体现于生命权问题之争中。 第五部分对本土化和世俗化线索做出归纳,就美国教会的本土化实践和世俗化困境进行总结评述。
[Abstract]:The Catholic Church of the United States is an integral part of the multicultural system of the United States, which is mainly embodied in the localization of the religious ideology of Catholicism in the Old World to adapt it to the new cultural environment.In order to build a distinctive characteristics of the American Catholic culture system.The unique development of the Catholic Church in the United States benefited from the combination of Catholics' American experience and traditional beliefs.Localization is the main thread of the development process of the Catholic Church in the United States and the adaptive adjustment made by the traditional beliefs in view of the heterogeneous cultural environment in order to ensure the sustainable development.Secularization is, in a sense, a continuation of localization, a manifestation of Catholicism's adaptation to modern social life and an important source of religious vitality.The superficial secularization of American Catholic Church is not the rejection of religious belief, but the close combination of religious spirit and free spirit.It is also an important part of the social practice of American citizens' religious ideas.Understanding and grasping the clue of localization and secularization is the premise of this paper.This paper focuses on the contemporary Catholic Church in the United States.The paper is divided into five parts. The first part discusses several basic problems in the study of the contemporary American Catholic Church, including the basic theories and concepts involved in the study of the Catholic Church in the United States, the scope of the study and the present situation of the research.The second part reviews the historical origin and development process of the American Catholic Church. Before the 20th century, the American Catholic Church had the obvious national and national character of European immigrants, and by the first half of the 20th century, the main body of the Church had completed the process of localization.To explore the interaction between the Vatican Conference and the American Catholic Church is a necessary way to understand the contemporary American Catholic Church.The third part discusses the religious mechanism and the religious status of the Catholic Church in the United States, including the implementation of the power of the higher diocese and the grass-roots parishes, and the analysis of the overall situation of the lay believers.Focus on the disintegration of the national diocese to explore the process of localization.This paper focuses on the analysis of the young generation and Hispanics, which have an important influence on the future trend of American churches.The fourth part focuses on the secular function of the church and discusses the relationship between church and state and social ethics.The Catholic Church's participation in social and political life is usually concentrated in certain areas.The high ecclesiastical ecclesiastical leaders showed distinct conservative characteristics and moral preaching function in the social and political participation.The social ethics of the church is embodied in the debate about the right to life.The fifth part sums up the clues of localization and secularization, and summarizes the localization practice and secularization dilemma of American churches.
