英语全球化序幕的开启者——清教徒移民在英语传播中的作用

【摘要】：英语已经成为当前公认的全球通用语言。英语的发展离不开英国的殖民扩张活动以及使用英语为民族国家语言的美国的强大实力。北美殖民地是英语向世界范围传播的第一站。移民是语言传播的载体,移民中的清教徒在英语传播至北美的过程中发挥了重要作用。正是清教徒的"使命观"和建立"山巅之城"的理想成就了强大的美国,也正是清教徒对自身身份的认同和坚持使得他们在不断的迁徙中把自己的语言文化传播到了世界各处。因此,可以说,清教徒是英语全球化序幕的开启者。
[Abstract]:English has become a recognized global language. The development of English is inseparable from Britain's colonial expansion and the strong strength of the United States, which uses English as a national language. The North American colonies were the first stop in the spread of English to the world. The Pilgrims played an important role in the spread of English to North America. It is the Puritans' concept of mission and the ideal of building a city on the top of the mountain that has made the United States strong, and it is the Puritans' identity and persistence that have made them spread their language and culture all over the world in the course of their constant migration. Therefore, it can be said that the Puritans are the prelude to the globalization of English.
