阐释之度 ——以《视觉时间：历史中的图像》（节选）英译汉翻译为例

　　当今的时代已经进入了一个以视觉图像为中心的时代,也就是我们所称的图像时代或视觉文化时代。随着“读图时代”的到来,图像化作品在人们的生活中起着愈加重要的作用。与文本相比,图像显然是更容易被人们所接受的一种艺术形式,并且对提升人们审美水平,陶冶人们的情操起到了积极的促进作用。因此,笔者选取了当代美国著名艺术史家基思·莫克西（Keith Moxey）的《视觉时间:历史中的图像》（Visual Time:The Image in History）作为翻译文本。关于时间和艺术的话题当前还处于起步阶段,鲜有学者涉足。在这本书中,莫克西凭借自己深厚的艺术史理论积淀以及渊博的学识,深入分析了时间、历史、分期、风格、美学等问题,为人们了解视觉文化提供了一种独特的视角。本文以此次英译汉翻译实践为例,在艾柯文本阐释理论指导下来分析这项翻译任务,探讨了文本阐释的开放性和限制性,并分析了翻译此类文本所需要的翻译策略和技巧,旨在为艺术类文本的翻译实践提供借鉴。在文本阐释过程以文本为依托,力求达到作者、文本和读者三维之间的动态平衡,从而全面、恰当、有效地解读、翻译文本。实践证明,艾柯的文本阐释理论是一种开放、有度的...
