【摘要】：20世纪以来媒体已经渗透到社会生活的各个角落，生活在传媒环境中，接触媒体信息已经成为现代人必不可少的生活内容，媒体信息的传播早已深刻影响到人们世界观、人生观和价值观的形成与发展。媒体作为思想政治教育活动的重要载体，弥补了传统思想政治教育活动形式单一、教育内容枯燥等不足，媒体通过建立一个平等、自愿交流的平台，扩大了社会主流价值观建设与导向的影响力，对增进人们相互了解，保持思想政治教育内容时代性与生命力，营造良好社会道德氛围起到了重要作用。但我们也必须看到媒体对思想政治教育活动也存在一定的功能耗散，因此充分利用媒体使我国主流价值观得到传播，使思想政治教育理论学科得到深化，将对思想政治教育学科产生重要意义。媒体的思想政治教育功能是在传统的思想政治教育功能基础上发展起来的，但基于媒体的特殊载体身份，媒体在发挥思想政治教育功能方面具有自身的独特性，具体主要表现在媒体思想政治教育的内容的可选择性；媒体的教育方式的内隐性；媒体思想政治教育对象的层次性；媒体思想政治教育主客体间高度互动性等方面。文章在分析了媒体思想政治教育功能独特性后，从媒体教育氛围的塑造、受众媒体素养的提高、媒体导向作用的加强以及媒体对社会的监督与反馈四个角度对媒体的思想政治教育功能进行了总结与概括。同时马克思主义新闻观为媒体开展思想政治教育活动指明了方向，马克思主义灌输理论是媒体思想政治教育功能发挥的方法论，而思想政治教育接受理论更是对媒体思想政治教育活动的对象进行了细致、客观的分析与研究。在对媒体思想政治教育功能的现状及相关的具有指导性的基础理论进行研究后，本文提出了媒体思想政治教育功能发挥应坚持的三个原则，即“三贴近”原则，疏导原则以及坚持媒体立体化教育的原则。本文通过分析媒体思想政治教育功能的实际开展情况，发觉媒体思想政治教育教育的目的不单纯是宣传正确的思想和观念，更重要的是通过媒体把这些正确的思想转化为人们的内在行动。因此文章对媒体思想政治教育功能的发挥提出了五点建议：一要坚持社会主义核心价值体系，二要提高媒体人的职业素质，三要满足媒体受众心理需求，，四要开展媒体隐性思想政治教育，五要建构媒体思想政治教育长效机制。本文所提出的五点建议希望能对今后媒体思想政治教育功能研究提供有意义的借鉴和思考。
