基于交际理论的学术论文摘要的英译

【摘要】：摘要是论文的缩影，从某种意义上讲比论文更为重要，因为它有可能决定科研成果能否被学术界认可并广泛传播。大部分作者进行摘要写作时，通常都是先撰写中文摘要，然后将其翻译为英文摘要。东西方语言文化差异较大，行文结构和习惯有所不同，都为摘要英译带来不小的难度。本文以纽马克交际翻译理论为指导，采用定量分析以及定性研究相结合的方法，从多方面探讨了学术论文中文摘要的英译策略。 论文收集中外具有代表性的学术论文英文摘要，对其进行统计分析，采取语料统计以及翻译实践相结合的方法，对国内外具有典型性的论文英文摘要进行了微观文体特征及宏观信息结构方面的对比研究，比较时态、语态、名词性短语、句子复杂性及主述位方面的异同，深入了解国外英文摘要撰写的特点及规范，探索切实可行的英译指导原则，增强摘要交际性。指出了纽马克交际翻译理论对于摘要翻译的适用性和指导性。最后分别从词、句、规范三方面举例说明如何做好论文摘要的英译。 本文阐述了纽马克交际翻译理论可以作为摘要翻译的理论指导和实践方法，提出以英美人士撰写摘要的特点作为中国人摘要英译的策略，并提出词语可意译，增强信息跨文化功能；句子可重组，提高摘要可读性；文体要规范，符合摘要撰写标准，以此来指导学术论文摘要的英译。通过定性和定量相结合的方法，可以探索出更多合理、实用的英译原则，使英译摘要更加准确，，易读，流畅。
