【摘要】：重新认知"五四反对派"的正面价值是全面理解"五四"的题中应有之义。五四新文化运动中首次与新青年交锋的林纾,是被文学史固化乃至丑化的"反对派",其小说《荆生》和《妖梦》更是新文学史上的经典"反动文本"。实际上,这两部小说乃是林纾的游戏笔墨,体现了林纾"好谐谑"的性格面相,也呈现出中国传统笔记小说"资谈助"的特征,并非现代意义上的严肃"小说"。这两部小说由小报上的"游戏文字"升级为新文化战场上的"反动文本",成为五四新青年批判林纾的关键一击。重回历史现场,考察这一"反动文本"的历史生成过程,有益于深化对"五四"的全面认知。
