作为方法的报刊——晚清报刊文献与中国小说转型研究的可能性

【摘要】：鲁迅对于"谴责小说"的定义和评价几十年来得到绝大多数研究者的认同,成为晚清小说研究的一种范式。近年来虽然引发了一些质疑和辩难,但多为局部修正,尚未构成对于这一范式真正强有力的挑战。超越这一范式,关键在于理念与方法的创新。注重报刊一直是晚清文学研究者秉承的学术传统。以报刊为史料或媒介,均取得了丰硕的成果。但报刊之于中国小说转型研究的意义,似乎不限于史料或媒介,还有可能作为一种方法,在研究过程中彰显其主体性价值。所谓以报刊为方法,就是将其视为观察中国小说转型的一个基本立场和树立问题意识的出发点,这样才能更有效地凸显转型的本质内涵,也才能构成对于鲁迅确立的研究范式的挑战和突破。
[Abstract]:Lu Xun's definition and evaluation of "condemnation novel" has been accepted by most researchers for decades and has become a paradigm in the study of novels in late Qing Dynasty. Although some questions and arguments have been raised in recent years, most of them are local corrections, which have not yet constituted a real challenge to this paradigm. Beyond this paradigm, the key lies in the innovation of ideas and methods. Paying attention to newspapers and periodicals has always been the academic tradition of literary researchers in the late Qing Dynasty. Newspapers and periodicals as historical materials or media, have achieved fruitful results. However, the significance of newspapers and periodicals to the study of the transformation of Chinese novels is not limited to historical materials or media, and it may be used as a method to highlight its subjective value in the course of research. The so-called newspaper as a method is to view it as a basic position to observe the transformation of Chinese novels and to set up the starting point of problem consciousness. Only in this way can the essential connotation of the transformation be more effectively highlighted. Only then can it constitute a challenge and breakthrough to the research paradigm established by Lu Xun.
