书法美学范畴“秀”的内涵诠释

【摘要】：正一、"秀"的意义溯源1."秀"的字源以及常用字义"秀"字本义为谷物吐穗扬花。徐锴曰:"禾实也。有实之象,下垂也。"《广雅》云:"秀,出也。"《文心雕龙·隐秀》:"秀也者,篇中之独拔者也。"可见"秀"作动词时有"高出,特出"之义,又可引申为一种俊发的力量,气韵流动,精神挺拔,才华卓绝,聪颖智慧。《文心雕龙》有云:"三才为五行之秀,人实天地之心。"《礼记·礼运》:"人者……五行之秀气也"。"秀"之于人,其一为由内至外生发一种挺拔之气,其二与人之禀赋灵秀相关。此内涵奠定了后来书法审美范畴的基础。
