燕园谈艺再论道——周扬在北大谈文艺与政治之关系

【摘要】：2012年秋,受中华人民共和国文化部文化科技司、中共深圳市委宣传部和《中国文化报》社华南新闻中心的盛情之邀,笔者赶赴担负当代中国再一次思想解放重任的前哨——深圳,参加了在五洲宾馆隆重举行的"深圳学派"建设学术研讨会。在9月28日的开幕式上,我如期遇到了以深圳市社科院顾问身份参会的著名学者胡经之教授。十年之后的重逢,使得这次相见变成了对往昔的追忆和思绪的倾诉。谈起学术建设,胡经之先生拉着我的手迟迟不放,李世涛研究员对我们之间谈论的话题也不时的追问,并引来了众人的目光,新闻界的朋友们也趁机端起相机留下了值得回忆的瞬间。胡经之先生欣喜地告诉我,他正在着手准备"忆周扬系列"文章,初步的打算是先写四个部分,分别是《周扬北大讲美学》、《燕园谈艺再论道——周扬在北大谈文艺与政治之关系》、《美学分歧究何在——周扬和蔡仪》、《美学情结老犹存——周扬和朱光潜》,并且准备都要陆续发表在江苏老家的《艺术百家》杂志上。他说他要趁着身体尚好,把新中国成立60多年来自己亲身经历的学术界的珍贵瞬间和宝贵思想都一一回忆、整理、记录下来。胡先生又和我谈起办刊,在表扬和肯定了《艺术百家》杂志的现有成绩和对于当代理论建设的学术作用之后,又再次寄托了深厚的学术期望。胡经之先生祖籍苏州,1933年出生于江苏无锡。早年就参加了进步学生运动,并加入新民主主义青年团,解放后任无锡县学联主席、苏南政协委员。于1952年考入北京大学中文系,毕业后又留校攻读文艺学副博士研究生,师从杨晦先生学习文艺学,又从朱光潜、宗白华两位先生研究美学,终融文艺学、美学于一炉,倡导文艺美学。1958年始,不时发表文艺评论,著有《评〈野火春风斗古城〉》等,后被《文艺报》聘为特约评论员,参加中国作家协会。1960年研究生毕业留北大任教,在中文系讲授文学概论、文艺美学、文艺学方法论等课程。改革开放后,又在国内率先开拓文艺美学新学科,在北大设立文艺美学硕士研究生专业方向,先后为国家培育文艺美学硕士10余人,并陆续成长为20世纪80年代之后支撑这一学科发展的重要学术力量。1993年,国务院学位委员会会议通过胡经之教授为文艺学方向博士生导师,并获国务院颁发的"国家有突出贡献的专家"证书。胡经之和汤一介、乐黛云一起,在1984年受邀来深圳大学参与创建中文系,历任系主任、特区文化研究所长、深圳大学学术委员会副主任、人文社会科学委员会主任等职。胡先生积极参与深圳特区的文化建设和国内外文化交流事业,先后被选为由徐中玉、钱谷融任会长的中国文艺理论学会副会长、由钱中文任会长的中外文艺理论学会副会长、广东省美学学会会长、深圳市文艺评论家协会主席、深圳市作协名誉主席等,著有《文艺美学》、《文艺美学论》、《胡经之文丛》、《中国古典文艺学》等,主编《西方文艺理论名著教程》、《中国古典美学丛编》等。如前所述,中国艺术研究院的李世涛研究员正在加紧从事全国艺术科学"十一五"规划项目"中国当代文艺思潮、文艺理论、美学访谈与研究"的系列整理与研究,本刊编辑部刊发本次访谈,以及陆续刊登胡经之先生的"忆周扬系列"学术文章,目的在于让我们更加清晰地了解、认识和梳理研究那段筚路蓝缕的艰辛历程,同时也是对学界的学术理论建设,为实现中国特色社会主义文化的大繁荣大发展,以及进一步推动实现中华民族的伟大复兴贡献一份应有的力量。
