英诗中的隐喻及其汉译

【摘要】： 近来，隐喻研究炙手可热：它已经不仅仅作为一种修辞方法而存在，更成为语言学、社会学、心理学等许多学科的研究对象。语言学方面，对隐喻的研究取得了丰硕的成果，国内外已有著名专家学者从功能、认知等角度对其详述。在翻译理论领域，也有不少学者涉足隐喻，试图用这把钥匙打开语言之门。但是很少有著作详细说明某一种文体中隐喻的具体翻译方法，这未尝不是一种缺憾。本文正抓住这个缺憾，从英语诗歌中的隐喻入手，将其分为三类，即：语音隐喻，词汇隐喻和语篇隐喻。基于许渊冲的翻译诗歌“三美”理论(音美，形美，意美)，作者提出了在翻译诗歌时要尽量保留原诗的审美因素。根据隐喻中不可或缺的“意象”，探讨其翻译方法。按照诗歌隐喻的意象，，将英诗中隐喻的翻译方法分成三类，即完全保留原文意象、部分保留原文意象和抛弃原文隐喻意象。每一类中还将涉及到具体的翻译技巧，如增补、删减、转换等。隐喻通常隐含于语句的字面义之外，通过语境(文化语境和语言语境)体现出来。因此，对原文语境的准确理解就成了隐喻翻译的基石。通过对英语诗歌中的隐喻及其译文的分析，得出结论：隐喻所处的语言结构层次、具体语境及意境是影响翻译的决定因素。
[Abstract]:Recently, the study of metaphor has become a hot topic: it has not only existed as a rhetorical device, but also become the object of many subjects, such as linguistics, sociology, psychology and so on. Famous experts and scholars at home and abroad have elaborated on it from the perspectives of function and cognition. In the field of translation theory, many scholars have also set foot in metaphor. The attempt to open the door to language with this key is not a pity, however, there are few works detailing the specific translation methods of metaphors in a particular style. Based on Xu Yuanchong's theory of "three beauties" in translation poetry, this thesis begins with metaphor in English poetry and divides it into three categories: phonetic metaphor, lexical metaphor and discourse metaphor. The author suggests that the aesthetic factors of the original poem should be retained in the translation of poetry. According to the indispensable "image" in metaphor, this paper probes into its translation method. According to the imagery of poetic metaphor, the translation methods of metaphor in English poetry are divided into three categories, that is, preserving the original image completely. Partial retention of the original image and abandonment of the original metaphorical image will also involve specific translation techniques, such as addition, deletion, conversion and so on. Metaphor is usually implied outside the literal meaning of a sentence and is reflected in context (cultural context and linguistic context). The accurate understanding of the original context has become the cornerstone of metaphor translation. Through the analysis of metaphor and its translation in English poetry, it is concluded that the linguistic structure of metaphor, the specific context and artistic conception are the decisive factors affecting translation.
