【摘要】： 本文旨在通过对翻译家林语堂及其翻译理论与实践的研究探讨译者在翻译活动中主体性的彰显,并着力分析译者的审美倾向、文化态度、翻译动机、翻译准则等主观因素是如何影响译者对于原文及其翻译策略的选择。本文详细分析了个人主观因素的形成及其对林语堂翻译活动的影响,并在此基础上进一步探讨了译者的主体性在林语堂翻译理论和实践中的体现。林语堂一生致力于东西方文化的介绍与沟通,尤其是在翻译理论研究和弘扬中华文化方面,成绩卓著,影响深远。林语堂以“传神”作为其翻译原则,这一原则在林的翻译实践中贯穿始终。由于深受西方文化的浸染和中国传统文化的熏陶,林语堂形成了对中国传统文化的独特认识。其翻译目的是向世界介绍中国传统文化。为此他选择了数目可观的中国儒家道家哲学著作和个人喜爱的中国古典文学作品作为翻译对象。为了吸引西方读者,从而更好地向西方介绍中国文化,林语堂在其文化翻译中相继采用归化和异化的翻译策略。总而言之,林语堂的译作恰恰体现并符合其对译文的三项要求:“忠实、通顺、美”。在全球各民族文化大交融的今天,回顾研究其人其文,研究和总结其翻译理论、技巧与经验,对发展翻译事业,促进国际文化交流是不无稗益的。
[Abstract]:Through the study of Lin Yutang, the translator and his translation theory and practice, this paper aims to explore the subjectivity of the translator in translation, and to analyze the translator's aesthetic tendency, cultural attitude and translation motivation. The subjective factors, such as translation criteria, affect the translator's choice of the source text and translation strategies. This paper makes a detailed analysis of the formation of individual subjective factors and their influence on Lin Yutang's translation activities, and on this basis, further explores the embodiment of the translator's subjectivity in the translation theory and practice of Lin Yutang. Lin Yutang devoted his life to the introduction and communication of eastern and western cultures, especially in the study of translation theory and the promotion of Chinese culture. Lin Yutang's translation principle is "evangelism", which runs through Lin's translation practice all the time. Deeply influenced by western culture and influenced by Chinese traditional culture, Lin Yutang formed a unique understanding of Chinese traditional culture. The purpose of its translation is to introduce Chinese traditional culture to the world. To this end, he chose a considerable number of Chinese Confucian Taoist philosophical works and personal favorite works of Chinese classical literature as the target of translation. In order to attract western readers and introduce Chinese culture to the West, Lin Yutang has adopted the strategies of domestication and foreignization in his cultural translation. In a word, Lin Yutang's translation just embodies and meets the three requirements of his translation: faithfulness, smoothness and beauty. At a time when the cultures of all nationalities in the world are in great harmony, it is beneficial for us to review and study their works, study and summarize their translation theories, techniques and experiences, which are beneficial to the development of translation and the promotion of international cultural exchange.
