[Abstract]:The choice of translation strategies and the standard of translation review have always been the focus of the debate in translation studies. In the whole history of translation, almost all the focus of the debate is focused on some of the basic problems encountered by the translator in the process of translation, such as the emphasis on form or content, based on Yu Yuanwen culture or the translation culture, reflecting the author's goal. Does the translator meet the expectations of the reader? The translator makes such or a choice in the process of translation, and these choices will eventually affect the determination of translation strategies and translation standards. From the angle of view, we can reasonably explain problems in translation. It can be said that translation studies are constantly absorbing nutrients from other disciplines.
Xie Tianzhen's three breakthroughs in the study of contemporary western translation studies in the 2004 can be summed up as two turns: linguistic turn and cultural turn. Philosophy, linguistics and translation have an inseparable relationship. To a certain extent, the emergence of linguistic turn in translation is the inevitable result of the development of philosophy and linguistics. With the influence of interpretation philosophy, modern philosophy and post-modern cultural studies, cultural turn in the field of translation can not appear. Therefore, it is feasible to study translation problems from the perspective of philosophy and linguistics, and it will inevitably expand the scope of translation studies.
In 1999, Verschueren proposed a pragmatic and pragmatic adaptation in his new pragmatic interpretation of pragmatics, which aims to study and analyze the use of language. While another Chinese translation researcher, Professor Hu Gengshen, published his book "adaptation choice theory" in 2004. The purpose is to analyze and study translation from a new perspective. The nature and phenomenon.Verschueren uses the choice and adaptation to describe the process of language use. Hu Gengshen also borrows the concept of Darwin's evolutionary theory (choice and adaptation) to explain the process of translation. Both theories are deeply influenced by Darwin's theory of evolution, and both bring new perspectives and ways of thinking to translation studies. Under the enlightenment and guidance of the two theories, translation can be considered a dynamic process of selection and adaptation. Under such a theoretical framework, the author puts forward a translation model to explain the translation process and the problems in translation. The discussion is carried out at the two levels in the language and outside the language. In this way, many translations are disputed. The focus, for example, domestication or alienation, loyalty or treason, can be reasonably explained.
In order to make this study more convincing, the author contrastive study of the two Chinese versions of Gone with the Wind, in order to make this study more convincing, and finally draw the conclusion that the translation is full of dynamic choice and adaptation. A translation strategy is chosen flexibly according to the needs of adaptation. Translation is the result of the translator's dynamic adaptation and choice. Therefore, it is not appropriate to evaluate the good or bad of a translation with a static and absolute view. The highest degree of adaptation to the original structure, the translation purpose, the social background, the cultural needs and the expectations of the readers is the highest. The most appropriate translation is a good translation that can be commented.
The theory of Versehueren and Hu Gengshen provides a new angle for translation studies, which enables us to make a thorough investigation and study of the factors in and out of the language and to explore the specific problems in translation, which is different from the traditional methods of research which focus only on the translation of language.
