唐宋诗词的色彩意象及其英译

【摘要】: 唐宋诗词是中国传统文化宝库中的璀璨明珠,是中华民族五千年的文化丰碑。它不仅在中国文化史上具有重要的意义,也在世界文坛上占有无可比拟的地位。借助于色彩,唐宋诗人为我们描绘了许多美丽动人的画卷。纷繁的色彩表现了诗人丰富的内心世界,再现了唐宋时代的社会生活。色彩意象的艺术表现力和感染力在唐宋诗词中达到了顶峰。然而,尽管翻译界对唐宋诗词翻译有一定的成果,但到目前为止,鲜有人对唐宋诗词色彩意象及其翻译作以研究。1996年,美国语言人类学家加利·帕尔默出版了他的专著《文化语言学理论构建》。帕尔默文化语言学以其独特的意象图式理论给色彩意象翻译提供了一个新的视角。 本文将以帕尔默文化语言学的意象论为理论基础,以文化、语言、意象及三者之间的关系为切入点,对比研究唐宋诗词及其英译本中特殊的色彩意象,分析阐释唐宋诗词色彩意象英译的文化转移问题。全文共分5部分进行阐述。第一部分概括介绍了本文的研究背景和意义。第二部分在对帕尔默文化语言学的产生作了简单介绍之后,重点阐释了帕尔默文化语言学的意象理论,指出意象、文化和语言三者的相互关系及对翻译的影响。第三部分分析了唐宋诗词的色彩意象,对其进行了分类并总结了唐宋诗词中色彩意象的使用手法。第四部分在简要介绍了中西基本颜色词的不同文化内涵和唐宋诗词色彩意象英译的难点后,着重从帕尔默文化语言学的视角探讨了各种不同版本中唐宋诗词色彩意象的翻译,指出译者应尽可能传达出色彩意象的表现形式及其暗含的文化含义。最后一部分总结了作者在这篇论文中的主要发现和局限。
[Abstract]:The poems of Tang and Song dynasties are the bright pearl in the treasure house of Chinese traditional culture and the cultural monument of the Chinese nation for five thousand years. It not only has important significance in the history of Chinese culture, but also occupies an unparalleled position in the world literary world. With the help of color, Tang and Song poets painted many beautiful and moving pictures for us. The numerous colors represent the poet's rich inner world and reappear the social life of the Tang and Song dynasties. The artistic expression and appeal of color image reached its peak in Tang and Song poetry. However, although translation circles have made some achievements in the translation of poems and poems in Tang and Song dynasties, so far, few people have done research on the color images of poems in Tang and Song dynasties and their translation. Gary Palmer, an American linguistic anthropologist, published his monograph the theoretical Construction of Cultural Linguistics. Palmer's cultural linguistics provides a new perspective for color image translation with its unique theory of image schema. Based on the image theory of Palmer's cultural linguistics and the relations among culture, language, imagery and their three aspects, this paper makes a comparative study of the special color images in Tang and Song poetry and their English versions. This paper analyzes the cultural transfer of color images in Tang and Song dynasties. The paper is divided into five parts. The first part introduces the research background and significance of this paper. After a brief introduction to the emergence of Palmer's cultural linguistics, the second part focuses on the image theory of Palmer's cultural linguistics, and points out the relationship among image, culture and language and their influence on translation. The third part analyzes the color image of Tang and Song poetry, classifies it and summarizes the use of color image in Tang and Song poetry. The fourth part briefly introduces the different cultural connotations of Chinese and Western basic color words and the difficulties in translating color images of Tang and Song dynasties, and probes into the translation of color images of Tang and Song poems in different versions from the perspective of Palmer's cultural linguistics. It is pointed out that the translator should convey as much as possible the expression of color image and its implied cultural meaning. The last part summarizes the author's main findings and limitations in this paper.
