【摘要】：《燃烧的心》是一部奇幻小说,由美国作家凯瑟琳·柏迪所著,于2016年出版。这是《燃烧的心》三部曲的第一本,已被翻译成多种语言在全球发行。《燃烧的心》荣登《纽约时报》最畅销的小说排行榜。遗憾的是,这本书还没有中文译本。《燃烧的心》内容丰富且风格独特。小说描述了令人心碎的爱情故事,危险的魔法力量,通过对话和心理描写生动地展现了人物形象。引进一本外文小说不是件简单的事。一方面,要切实传达原作的意思,让目的语读者更好的接受;另一方面,还要能够保持原文的风貌。优秀的翻译作品会使目的语读者与作者产生共鸣。功能对等理论,再现源语意义和风格的同时,传达了目的语文化,兼顾目的语读者的心理反应和可接受性,非常适合指导小说翻译。本报告以《燃烧的心》节选部分的翻译为例,从意义对等和风格对等出发,论述了奈达的功能对等理论对奇幻小说翻译发挥的重要作用。通过再现原文意义,以及从词义层面和句法层面再现原文风格,来说明功能对等理论对小说翻译的指导意义。
[Abstract]:Burning Heart, a fantasy novel by American writer Catherine Berdy, was published in 2016.This is the first book of the Burning Heart trilogy, which has been translated into multiple languages for worldwide distribution. The Burning Heart tops the list of the New York Times's best-selling novels.Unfortunately, there is no Chinese translation of the book. Burning Heart is rich in content and unique in style.The novel depicts heartbreaking love stories, dangerous magic forces, and vivid images of characters through dialogue and psychological description.It is not easy to introduce a novel in foreign language.On the one hand, it is necessary to convey the meaning of the original work so as to make the target language readers better accept it; on the other hand, it should be able to maintain the style and appearance of the original text.Excellent translation works will resonate with the target language reader and the author.Functional equivalence theory, which reproduces the meaning and style of the source language, conveys the target language culture and takes into account the psychological reaction and acceptability of the target language readers.Taking the translation of excerpts from the Burning Heart as an example, this paper discusses the important role of Nida's functional equivalence theory in the translation of fantasy novels from the perspective of meaning equivalence and style equivalence.By reproducing the original meaning and reproducing the original style from the word meaning level and the syntactic level, this paper illustrates the guiding significance of functional equivalence theory in novel translation.
