改写理论视角下刘宇昆《三体》译本的翻译研究

【摘要】：2015年8月23日下午,第73届“雨果奖”获奖名单在美国揭晓,刘慈欣凭借科幻小说《三体》获得最佳长篇故事奖。这是中国乃至亚洲第一位科幻作家获此殊荣,这也使得《三体》成为中国文化输出道路上的一个里程碑。令人感到遗憾的是,中国的文学界历来忽视科幻小说这一文学类型,翻译界也同样鲜有学者对科幻小说翻译进行专门研究。由于诸多历史因素导致人们长久以来对科幻小说持有一种偏见,阻碍了科幻小说及其翻译在中国的发展。这种双重不利因素导致了目前国内科幻小说外译的窘迫境地,对《三体》外译展开的研究至今仍寥寥无几。我们更多看到的是个别学者单枪匹马地从事科幻小说翻译工作,不论是郭建中教授在科幻小说翻译理论方面的贡献,还是刘宇昆在科幻小说英译方面的大量实践。中国科幻小说翻译事业亟待发展与振兴。20世纪70年代,安德烈·勒菲弗尔受到“操纵学派”的影响和启发提出了改写理论。传统的翻译理论多侧重于在单一的语言层面来对翻译活动进行研究和考察,以求得到最好的译文。安德烈·勒菲弗尔的改写理论颠覆传统的翻译观,它试图站在文化和社会的大背景下,以译文为中心,以描述法为手段,探讨译本形成的深层次原因。安德烈·勒菲弗尔认为,翻译行为受到三大要素的影响,即意识形态、诗学以及赞助人。本文试图从改写理论的视角下对《三体》英译本进行研究。论文共分为五个部分。第一章介绍了本文的研究背景、意义以及基本结构。第二章对相关文献进行了介绍,包括科幻小说外译的研究现状、《三体》译本的研究现状以及本文所用改写理论的研究现状。第三章为本文的理论基础,详细介绍了安德烈·勒菲弗尔的改写理论及其改理论所涉及的三个限制因素,并补充介绍了与诗学因素有关的郭建中的科幻小说翻译标准,随后论述了上述理论与本文所做研究的关系。第四章是本文的主体部分,该部分以安德烈·勒菲弗尔的改写理论为基础,对华裔科幻小说译者刘宇昆翻译的《三体》进行了全面而系统的分析。作者通过研究发现,首先,在选择译介的作品时,中国教育图书进出口有限公司和美国托尔出版社都希望能找到一部既有中国特色又能得到外国读者接受的文学作品。《三体》以“文化大革命”为故事背景,同时小说也体现了中国人对于科学技术、宇宙观以及人类命运共同体的思考,符合国外读者的期待。其次,在选择译者时,中国教育图书进出口有限公司用远超行业水平的标准挑选译者,华裔科幻译者刘宇昆因其优秀的双语能力最终当选。此外,在《三体》的翻译过程中,译者适当使用了直译、意译、增译、归化等翻译技巧,成功改写了涉及中国政治、英雄主义及诗学方面的内容,迎合了外国读者的期待。最后,在译本的推广过程中,中国教育图书进出口有限公司和美国托尔出版社通过各种渠道宣传《三体》英译本,包括报纸、电视、社交网络。第五部分是本文的结论,回顾了本文的研究过程并作出总结,刘宇昆《三体》英译成功的原因是改写理论三个限制因素共同作用的结果。这也给日后更多中国文学作品及中国文化走出去提供了宝贵的参考和启示。
[Abstract]:In the afternoon of August 23, 2015, the seventy-third "Hugo prize" award list was announced in the United States. Liu Cixin won the best long story award with the "three body" of science fiction. This is the award of the first science fiction writer in China and Asia. This makes the "trisomy" a milestone on the road of Chinese cultural output. It is regrettable that China The literary world has always ignored the literary genre of science fiction, and there are also few scholars in the translation field to study the translation of science fiction. Because of many historical factors, people have long held a prejudice against science fiction, which hinders the development of science fiction and its translation in China. There are still few studies on the "three body" and "foreign translation" in the domestic science fiction translation. We have seen more of the individual scholars who have taken a single hand in the translation of science fiction, whether it is Professor Guo Jianzhong's contribution to the theory of science fiction translation, or a great deal of Liu Yukun in the English translation of science fiction. The Chinese science fiction translation career needs to be developed and revitalization of the.20 century in the 70s. The second chapter introduces the relevant literature, including the research status of the foreign translation of science fiction, the status of the study of the trisomy translation and the study of the rewriting theory used in this paper. The third chapter is the theoretical basis of this article. It introduces the rewriting theory of Andre Lefebvre and the three restrictive factors involved in the theory of reform. It also introduces Guo Jianzhong's science fiction translation standard related to the poetic factors, and then discusses the relationship between the theory and the study in this article. The fourth chapter is the main part of this article. The part, based on Andre Lefebvre's rewriting theory, makes a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the "three body" of the translation of Chinese sci-fi translator Liu Yukun. Through the study, the author finds that, first of all, the Chinese Educational Books Import and Export Corporation and the American Torr press hope to find the translated works.
