女性主义翻译视角下张玲译作《孤寂深渊》研究

【摘要】：本文以女性主义翻译理论为理论框架,选取张玲的《孤寂深渊》译本进行分析,旨在探讨译本中张玲的女性主义意识如何得以体现,并拟验证女性主义翻译理论对同性恋题材作品的适用性。自20世纪70年代的“文化转向”以来,翻译研究视野拓宽至文化层面,女性主义翻译研究开始备受瞩目,并为翻译研究提供了新视角。女性主义翻译是在性别视角对文本的改写,弗洛图对此总结了三种常用的女性主义干涉策略:加写前言与脚注、增补以及劫持,颠覆了传统的翻译观念,重新界定原文与译文的关系,并强调译者的主体性,彰显译者的女性意识和身份。张玲作为我国著名女性译者之一,译作选材多倾向于女性作家作品。《孤寂深渊》原作作为英语文学中第一部女同性恋小说,自出版以来备受争议,该作品描述了作者霍尔亲身经历,抨击了父权社会对女同性者的排斥和侮辱,展现了其强烈的女性思想。前人对《孤寂深渊》鲜少从翻译角度进行研究,而译本中女性主义翻译现象很有研究价值。那么,张玲在译本中采取了何种千涉手段?女性主义意识何以体现?本文以女性主义翻译理论为框架,主要采取定性分析方法,对《孤寂深渊》张玲中译本进行分析探讨。本文开篇简述了论文的研究背景、意义、研究问题以及论文结构,回顾和梳理前人对女性主义翻译理论、张玲及其译作研究现状后,基于女性主义翻译理论对译本进行剖析,研究发现:(1)女性主义翻译理论对同性恋文本的分析和翻译实践具有适用性;(2)张玲受其意识形态和文化背景等影响,灵活运用三种干涉方式对文本进行操纵,但是手段相对来说较温和婉转。(3)本文对张玲译作和《孤寂深渊》深入研究及相关的女性主义翻译研究有一定借鉴意义。然而,鉴于时间和篇幅的限定,本研究无法涉及较深层次的研究与更详尽的探讨,无疑还存在一定的不足和有待完善之处。
[Abstract]:Taking feminist translation theory as the theoretical framework, this paper selects Zhang Ling's translation of the Lonely Abyss as a theoretical framework to explore how Zhang Ling's feminist consciousness can be embodied in the translation. It also intends to verify the applicability of feminist translation theory to homosexual works. Since the "cultural turn" in the 1970s, the perspective of translation studies has been broadened to the cultural level, and feminist translation studies have attracted much attention and provided a new perspective for translation studies. Feminist translation is the rewriting of the text from a gender perspective. Frotus sums up three common feminist intervention strategies: adding forewords and footnotes, supplementing and hijacking, which overturns traditional translation concepts. Redefine the relationship between the original text and the target text, emphasize the translator's subjectivity, and highlight the translator's female consciousness and identity. As one of the famous female translators in China, Zhang Ling's selections tend to be female writers' works. The original novel, as the first lesbian novel in English literature, has been controversial since its publication. The work describes the author Hall's personal experience, criticizes the patriarchal society for the rejection and insults of the same sex, and shows its strong female thinking. Previous researches on the Lonely Abyss rarely focus on translation, but feminist translation is of great value in the translation. So what kind of means does Zhang Ling take in the translation? How can feminist consciousness be embodied? This paper takes feminist translation theory as the frame, mainly adopts the qualitative analysis method, carries on the analysis discussion to Zhang Ling's Chinese translation of the lonely abyss. The thesis begins with a brief introduction of the research background, significance, research problems and the structure of the thesis. After reviewing and combing the previous studies on feminist translation theory, Zhang Ling and her translation studies, the author analyzes the translation based on feminist translation theory. The findings are as follows: (1) Feminist translation theory is applicable to the analysis and translation practice of gay texts; (2) influenced by her ideology and cultural background, Zhang Ling manipulates the text by using three kinds of interference methods. However, the means are relatively mild and graceful. (3) this thesis is of great significance to the in-depth study of Zhang Ling's translation, the Lonely Abyss and the relevant feminist translation studies. However, in view of the limitation of time and space, this study can not involve a deeper level of research and more detailed discussion, there is no doubt that there are still some shortcomings and need to be improved.
