《绿龟之谜》翻译项目报告

【摘要】:本文是一篇翻译项目报告。翻译项目原文选自埃勒里·昆恩(Ellery Queen)的侦探小说《绿龟之谜》(The Green Turtle Mystery)。讲述了主人公——少年杜纳在找寻小伙伴本丢失的绿乌龟的过程中,意外卷入鬼屋事件,并在索克·弗隆先生的帮助下智破鬼屋闹鬼之谜的故事。翻译项目节选自该作品第八到十章,该部分讲述了杜纳深入鬼屋,揭示真相的全过程。本翻译项目报告的主要内容分为四个部分,介绍了项目背景、原文作者及内容、翻译重难点和理论的选择和运用,并对翻译过程的得失进行了总结。该项目属于儿童侦探文学题材,且人物对话贯穿全文始终,在翻译过程中笔者选取了德国功能主义学派的目的论作为理论指导,旨在明确受众的基础上更好地传达原文风貌。在具体的翻译实践中采用了加注、长短句切分、直译、意译等方法践行目的论。翻译的重难点主要集中在中西方文化差异及儿童文学特殊性问题上。最后笔者总结了在翻译过程中所获得的经验教训和启发,以便在今后的翻译中提升自身水平。
[Abstract]:This article is a translation project report. The original text of the translation project is based on the detective novel "the Mystery of the Turtle" by Ellery Quinn (Ellery Queen), (The Green Turtle Mystery). This paper tells the story of the protagonist, the teenager Duner, who was accidentally involved in the haunted house in the process of searching for the lost green tortoise of his little friend Ben, and with the help of Mr. Sokflon, the mystery of the haunted house was broken up. Excerpts from Chapter 8 to 10 of the book, which tells the whole process of Duner's going deep into the haunted house and revealing the truth. The main content of this translation project report is divided into four parts. It introduces the background of the project, the author and content of the original text, the selection and application of translation difficulties and theories, and summarizes the gains and losses of the translation process. The project belongs to the theme of child detective literature, and the dialogue of characters runs through the whole text. In the process of translation, the author chooses the Skopos theory of the German functionalist school as the theoretical guidance, in order to better convey the original style and features on the basis of a clear audience. The Skopos theory is used in translation practice, such as annotation, short and short sentence segmentation, literal translation, free translation and so on. The important and difficult points of translation mainly focus on the cultural differences between China and the West and the particularity of children's literature. Finally, the author summarizes the experiences and lessons learned in the process of translation in order to improve his own level in future translation.
