《在世界和我之间》英译汉翻译实践报告

【摘要】：本翻译材料选自美国记者兼作家塔那西斯·科茨的非虚构类文学作品《在世界和我之间》。该书荣获2015年美国国家图书奖,至今仍未有中译本面世。笔者考虑到非虚构文学作品所展现的“真实的力量”近来备受瞩目,且该书以美国的种族主义为话题,以书信体进行创作,不仅具有应用文本的“真实性”特征,还富有浓郁的文学色彩,极具实践意义和研究价值。本次翻译实践的目的是给中国读者传递准确的信息和原作者的文体特征。因此,本报告根据文本类型的基本原理,以功能翻译理论为指导,在翻译过程中采用以直译为主,意译为辅的原则,通过具体案例分析实践中采用的具体方法,如：词性转换、增译、引申、注释等。本翻译实践报告包括五个部分：第一部分,引言,简要介绍翻译项目、作者及其原作《在世界和我之间》；第二部分,简要介绍翻译过程,主要从译前、译中和译后三个阶段进行描述；第三部分,从词汇层面、句法层面和语篇层面分析并讨论翻译过程中所采用的翻译技巧；第四部分,对此次翻译实践的总结,并指出译文中存在的仍需解决的问题。
[Abstract]:This translation is based on a nonfiction literary work by American journalist and writer Tanasi Coates, between the World and me. The book won the 2015 National Book Award and has not yet been published in Chinese. The author takes into account that the "power of truth" shown in nonfiction literature has attracted much attention recently, and that the book, which focuses on racism in the United States and is written in letters, is not only characterized by the "authenticity" of the applied text. Also full of rich literary color, very practical significance and research value. The purpose of this translation practice is to convey accurate information to Chinese readers and the stylistic features of the original author. Therefore, according to the basic principles of text types and guided by functional translation theory, this report adopts the principle of literal translation and free translation as auxiliary in the process of translation, and analyzes the concrete methods adopted in practice through specific case studies, such as: part of speech conversion. Add translation, extension, annotation, etc. This translation practice report consists of five parts: part I, introduction, brief introduction to translation projects, author and his original book "between the World and me"; The second part briefly introduces the process of translation, mainly describes the three stages of translation: pre-translation, Chinese-translation and post-translation, the third part analyzes and discusses the translation techniques used in the process of translation at the lexical, syntactic and textual levels. The fourth part summarizes the translation practice and points out the problems still to be solved in the translation.
