《北京折叠》英译本中空间叙事特征的再现

叙事是指沟通过程中信息的传递和解读过程,广义上的叙事学研究范围并不仅仅局限于书面文本或文学作品,而是作用于生活的方方面面;就狭义而言,叙事学是关于叙事作品、叙述、叙述结构以及叙述性的理论,因此传统叙事学研究着重对叙事文本做技术分析。尽管叙事文本兼具时间和空间维度,相比于时间叙事学研究,空间叙事学的发展并未吸引足够的关注:直至时间叙事研究的局限性日益凸显,理论家们才纷纷转向空间叙事寻求解决灵感。1984年,加布里尔·佐伦在《走向叙事空间理论》一文中,建构了一个具有实用价值和理论高度的空间理论模型。本文将以此为框架,探究《北京折叠》中的空间叙事特征及其在译文中的重现。《北京折叠》最初发表于2012年12月,小说讲述了北京在未来按照社会阶层被分成三个空间,生活在第三空间的垃圾工老刀,为了让自己的养女可以接受教育,冒着生命危险穿梭在三个空间之中为人送信的故事。经由译者刘宇昆翻译后,于2016年8月获得第74届雨果奖最佳中短篇小说奖。由于故事情节简单,语言朴实,对原文的研究多以读者评论形式进行;翻译对比研究则涉及到翻译策略、译者主动性、译文接受度等领域。总体而言,从空间叙事学角度切入的翻译研究较...
