【摘要】：《新青年》是新文化运动中的重要刊物,在中国社会文化转型中起着重要的作用。该期刊以民主、科学为旗帜,围绕“反封倡新”发表了大量原创作品和文学译作。在《新青年》的译作中,戏剧翻译作品数量虽不多,却折射出时代大背景下期刊翻译文学的独特面貌。戏剧译者为迎合时代需要而对原作进行的改写诠释了转型时期的主流文学思潮对翻译话语的影响。因此,对《新青年》戏剧翻译的研究及对其外部文化环境的考察将为我们透视五四时期的翻译理论语境提供一个重要的切入点。勒弗菲尔的改写理论为文学翻译提供了新的研究视角。它立足于翻译的文化层面,强调翻译是一种改写,改写即操纵,指出不同历史时期的改写要受特定的社会意识形态和主流诗学的操控,并最终与权力相联系,变成为其服务的一种手段。该理论的核心是强调翻译活动不是在真空中进行的,而是受到意识形态、诗学和赞助人等三个因素的操控。本文围绕改写理论的三个操控因素对《新青年》中的戏剧译介进行了全面分析,深入发掘了改写理论对这一典型翻译现象的阐释力,并进一步解读其对中国文学历史乃至文化发展的贡献。
