百衲被缝制艺术在《别名格雷斯》中的多样性阐释

【摘要】：.被誉为“加拿大文学女皇”的著名作家玛格丽特·阿特伍德于1996年发表了其第九部长篇小说《别名格雷斯》。该书莆一出版就获得了各界好评。缝制百衲被是当时北美女性独有的一种活动,而小说中的女主人公格雷斯恰是缝制百衲被的能手,她在缝制百衲被的过程中向精神病医生西蒙·乔丹讲述自己的经历。本文试图从形式与内容两方面来探究百衲被缝制艺术在《别名格雷斯》中的作用与内涵。从小说的框架来看,阿特伍德创作《别名格雷斯》很像缝制百衲被。小说的章节标题到引用的历史文件再到叙述主体,构成了犹如百衲被似的空间框架。本文通过对章节组成部分安排的分析,认为,这样的放置使各组成部分构成对话,但这些对话并非和谐共存,从而起到了质疑史料真实性的作用。从小说的内容来看,小说的主体部分以格雷斯的第一人称叙述为主并穿插作者的第三人称叙述。格雷斯在缝制百衲被的过程中对历史权威话语进行了间接的反驳；本文通过对这些反驳话语的分析,揭示,《别名格雷斯》具有解构权威话语的颠覆力量。另外,格雷斯在回顾时主要讲述了自己以及身边女性的故事,本文通过分析对她产生过重大影响的两位女性的不幸遭遇以及格雷斯在小说的最后将她们三人的衣物拼制成百衲被的细节,发掘小说试图通过格雷斯暗示女性应该团结起来共同抵御父权社会给女性带来的痛苦这一内涵。此外,通过分析百衲被缝制艺术可能具有的隐含意义,本文还试图说明,即便是第一人称叙述,也不一定可靠,文本的真实性也和其他文本一样会受到质疑。在小说的结尾,阿特伍德未给出确切答案,而是留给读者自己阐释文本的空间,让读者自己分析格雷斯是否有罪。
[Abstract]:Known as "the Queen of Canadian Literature" In 1996, Margaret Atwood, a famous writer, published her 9th novel, also known as Grace, which was highly acclaimed as soon as it was published. Through the analysis of these rebuttal words, this paper reveals that "alias Grace" has the subversive power of deconstructing authoritative discourse. In addition, in retrospect, Grace mainly tells the story of himself and the women around him. This paper analyzes the unfortunate experiences of the two women who have had a great impact on her and the details of Grace making the quilts of the three of them into quilts at the end of the novel. Explore the novel through Grace implied that women should unite to resist the patriarchal society to the pain of this connotation. It also attempts to show that even first-person narratives are not necessarily reliable and that the authenticity of the text is questioned as much as any other text. Atwood does not give an exact answer at the end of the novel. Instead, it leaves the reader room to interpret the text and let the reader analyze whether Grace is guilty or not.
