地方理论视域下《大地》中王龙的回归

【摘要】:赛珍珠是二十世纪享誉盛名的美国女作家,曾获得普利策奖和诺贝尔文学奖。她生于美国,长于中国,其双重的社会文化背景赋予了她独特的写作视角和创作风格。她的代表作《大地》(1931)是一部描写中国农民和农村生活的小说,其内容深刻地体现了中国农民的精神和价值观念。小说主人公王龙一生中历经两次从乡村移居城镇再回归乡村的循环式地方迁移,这种迁移轨迹无疑诠释了王龙对城市与乡村的体验与认知。本文运用地方理论视角比较深入地分析和探讨王龙最终选择回归乡村和大地的行为,旨在揭示王龙回归的原因和实质,并探究人与地方的关系,增进人们对休戚相关的地方的认识和了解。 论文由引言、正文和结语三个部分组成,其中正文分为三章。 引言部分简要介绍了赛珍珠及其代表作《大地》,梳理了国内外学术界对该作家及其作品的研究现状,并陈述了论文的理论基础和主要框架。 第一章从地方依恋入手,着重分析了促使王龙最终回归乡村的直接原因,即他对乡村的物质环境和社会环境的依赖。地方依恋是人对地方单向正面的感情体现,是人对环境的一种依赖之情。乡村是王龙生命中具有特殊意义的地方,因为乡村既满足了他生存的物质需求,也满足了他对爱、尊重、信仰等情感需要。 第二章从地方认同的视角分析了王龙探寻地方认同的过程及其实质,指出王龙两次循环式的地方迁移并不是简单的在城乡两地之间的反复,其实质是他不断探寻自我认同的思想升华的过程。通过两次循环迁移,王龙回到他真正认同的地方,找到了真实的自我,完成了他的探索之路。 第三章对王龙最终回归乡村和大地这一事件所蕴含的土地情结进行了分析和探讨,指出王龙对大地的感情已经从最初的依赖升华到一种深刻的蕴于骨血的情结。这种土地情结集中体现在他对土地的热爱和他对土地伦理的遵循两个方面。王龙一生与土地紧密相连,而土地不仅是地方主要的物质基础,也是地方人文价值观念和伦理思想的承载者。人类对土地的关爱延伸到以土地为基础构建的人际关系上,表现出人与人之间的关爱;反之,人对土地的漠视,就会体现为人与人之间的商品化与功利化。尽管王龙内心对建立在土地伦理基础上的生态意识的追寻是朦胧的、非自觉的,他最终的回归却清晰地反映了他对建立在人地关系基础上的那种亲密无间的人际关系的诉求。 结语部分重申了论文的主要观点并指出了王龙回归的现实意义。从地方理论视角去挖掘王龙最终回归乡村的实质,强调王龙对人地关系的探索,这有利于增加人们对地方的关注与认识,对人们如何对待地方,如何处理人际关系,以及如何缓解当下日益突出的人与自然的矛盾有一定的启发意义,同时也对当今人类因城市化而逐渐远离自然的现状有一定的警示作用。
[Abstract]:Pearl Buck, a famous American writer in the 20th century, won the Pulitzer Prize and the Nobel Prize for Literature. She was born in the United States and grew up in China. Her dual social and cultural background endows her with a unique perspective and style of writing. Her masterpiece, the Land, 1931, is a novel depicting Chinese peasants and rural life. Wang long, the protagonist of the novel, has gone through two times in his life to migrate from the countryside and return to the countryside. This migration trajectory undoubtedly interprets Wang long's experience and cognition of the city and the countryside. This paper analyzes and discusses Wang long's behavior of returning to the countryside and the earth in depth with the perspective of local theory. The purpose of this paper is to reveal the reason and essence of Wang long's return, and to explore the relationship between people and places, and to enhance people's understanding of the places where solidarity is closely related. The thesis consists of three parts: introduction, text and conclusion, in which the text is divided into three chapters. The introduction briefly introduces Pearl S. Buck and her masterpiece the Earth, combs the current research situation of the writer and his works in academic circles at home and abroad, and describes the theoretical basis and main framework of the thesis. The first chapter starts with the local attachment, and analyzes the direct reason of Wang long's final return to the countryside, that is, his dependence on the rural material and social environment. The village is a place of special significance in Wang long's life, because the village not only satisfies his material needs for survival, but also meets his emotional needs of love, respect, faith and so on. The second chapter analyzes the process and essence of Wang long's exploration of local identity from the perspective of local identity, and points out that Wang long's two-cycle local migration is not simply repeated between urban and rural areas. The essence of it is the process of constantly exploring the sublimation of self-identity. Through two cycles of transfer, Wang long returned to the place he truly identified, found the true self, and completed his way of exploration. The third chapter analyzes and discusses the land complex of Wang long's final return to the countryside and the earth. It is pointed out that Wang long's feelings towards the earth have sublimated from the initial dependence to a deep complex of bone and blood. This kind of land complex is embodied in two aspects: his love of land and his adherence to land ethics. Life and land are closely linked, Land is not only the main material foundation of the place, but also the bearer of the local humanistic values and ethics. People's disregard for land will be reflected in commercialization and utilitarianism among people, although Wang long's inner pursuit of ecological consciousness based on land ethics is hazy and unconsciously. His final return clearly reflects his desire for close relationships based on man-land relationships. The conclusion restates the main points of the paper and points out the realistic significance of Wang long's return to the countryside. From the angle of local theory, it excavates the essence of Wang long's final return to the countryside, and emphasizes Wang long's exploration of the relationship between man and land. This is beneficial to increase people's attention and understanding of the place, how people treat the place, how to deal with human relations, and how to alleviate the increasingly prominent contradiction between people and nature. At the same time, it also serves as a warning to the current situation that human beings are gradually away from nature due to urbanization.
