伊莎贝尔·阿切尔的心理画像研究

　　美国作家亨利·詹姆斯(1843—1916)被誉为心理现实主义大师。与传统小说家通过描述人物行动来塑造人物的做法相比，詹姆斯更欣赏通过刻画人物心理塑造典型人物的手法。其早期代表作《一位女士的画像》就是对女主人公伊莎贝尔·阿切尔内心世界进行探索的典范作品。本文旨在分析詹姆斯在《一位女士的画像》中内聚焦的叙述技巧的应用方式和效果，并应用叙事学理论中的内聚焦理论及结合外部现实分析伊莎贝尔的心理发展过程。本文认为伊莎贝尔独特的自由观的核心是自我的完整性，及以此为目的的消极性自由阶段和积极性自由阶段。而在这两个追求自由的阶段伊莎贝尔并没有真正实现自我，不幸的婚姻生活使伊莎贝尔意识世界逐渐成熟起来，认识了自己的真实处境，加深了对现实生活本身的理解，并最终将自我定位到原有的婚姻生活中。
