【摘要】：随着世界文化交流的日益扩大，翻译起着越来越重要的作用。本文从文化交流的角度出发，分析了语言和文化的密切关系及文化差异产生的原因，，并指出翻译过程中文化信息的损失不可避免，文化的可译性只是一个限度问题，即如何最大限度地保留原语的文化信息。本文分析了产生文化损失的原因，试图寻找解决的办法。这对于有效地提高译文的质量，促进跨文化交流，在理论上和实践上都有着重要的指导意义。作者探讨了一些翻译家们的翻译理论，并对翻译本质提出一些个人见解。接着，作者以《浮生六记》的三个译本为实例，从文化角度对译本进行分析和评论。在这三个译本比较中，作者分析了译者是如何根据翻译目的来有效地传达文化信息，如何处理文化负载词，试图从中找到对应的翻译策略和技巧来弥补翻译过程中的文化损失。在这三个译本里，译者有益的理论和实际的翻译技巧不仅给我们提供了参考，也为以后文化翻译提供了一个很好的借鉴。本文最后指出，文化差异是客观存在的，文化的损失不可避免，可译限度并非静止不变，而是动态变化的。随着中西文化的交流，可译度将越来越高。
