【摘要】：小小说短小精悍,文浅意深,使人从有限的篇章获得艺术享受与思想启发,赢得广大读者的欢迎和喜爱。近年,许多优秀的华文小小说作品被翻译成英语,在海外出版,受到好评。 叙事学从视角,时间,话语模式等方面对叙事小说做了系统研究,探讨某一特定语境下叙事形式和叙事效果之间的关系,被认为是分析小说叙事文本有力的工具。在此基础上,中国学者郑敏宇,方开瑞等运用叙事学理论研究小说翻译,研究源语文本的叙事形式如何在译语文本中得到准确重现,实现叙事效果对等,从而丰富了翻译理论,具有重要意义。由于小小说是小说家族四大成员之一,叙事是其最大特点,笔者认为对小小说的分析应该借助叙事学理论,探论小小说的翻译自然也离不开叙事学理论视角。小小说翻译不仅在内容语言上忠实原文,还应在叙事手段等方面尽量与原文保持一致。 本文的重点是运用叙事学理论,从叙事视角,话语模式,叙事时间三个方面,研究中国小小说的叙事特点,结合对在国内国外受到好评的中国小小说英译本的具体分析,描述总结小小说汉英翻译方法。笔者认为该研究不仅揭示小小说的叙事特点,有利于小小说翻译实践,而且拓宽了叙事学研究的范围,是一种有意义的尝试。由于小小说形微体小,灵活多变,翻译方法也依具体语境而定,难以进行客观性的定量研究,本文难免会存在深度广度的不足。
