中英经济新闻标题概念隐喻对比研究

【摘要】:隐喻一直是语言学研究的一个热点。至今隐喻研究已取得了大量成果,建立了多种隐喻理论。在这些理论中,,由莱考夫和约翰逊提出的概念隐喻为我们理解周围的世界提供了一个新的视角。标题作为对新闻内容的总结,在了解新闻主旨方面起着重要作用。新闻标题中概念隐喻的使用可以帮助读者更好的扑捉和理解新闻标题的主旨。本研究试图对英汉经济新闻标题中的概念隐喻进行对比研究,找出英汉经济新闻标题中存在的相同和不同的概念隐喻,并从文化角度考察造成其相同及不同的因素。 本研究首先进行了语料收集,接着找出中英经济新闻标题中存在的概念隐喻,在莱考夫和约翰逊的概念隐喻理论指导下,采用定性研究的方法,将204条中英经济新闻标题中的概念隐喻进行了研究。然后根据不同的始源域,划分出八类概念隐喻,即:经济是旅程,经济是游戏,经济是战争,经济是天气,经济是人类,经济是建筑,经济是液体,及成语习语隐喻。论文接着从文化角度对造成这些相同及不同的概念隐喻的原因进行了阐释。结果发现,基于共同的认知基础,中英文经济新闻标题中存在的概念隐喻大体一致。但是,由于文化环境,自然环境所存在的差异,中英经济新闻标题中概念隐喻的使用也略有不同。本文的研究结果将会有助于英语学习者了解英汉文化和思维方式的差异性,进而增强对国外语言文化的认知能力。
[Abstract]:Metaphor has always been a hot topic in linguistic research. Up to now, a great deal of achievements have been made in the study of metaphor, in which many theories of metaphor have been established. Conceptual metaphors proposed by Lakoff and Johnson provide a new perspective for us to understand the world around us. The title serves as a summary of news content. The use of conceptual metaphors in news headlines can help readers better catch and understand the gist of news headlines. The present study attempts to make use of conceptual metaphors in English and Chinese economic news headlines. A comparative study was carried out. Find out the same and different conceptual metaphors in English and Chinese economic news headlines, and examine the same and different factors from the perspective of culture. The present study firstly collects the corpus and then finds out the conceptual metaphors in Chinese and English economic news headlines. Under the guidance of Lakoff and Johnson's Conceptual metaphor Theory, a qualitative approach is adopted. This paper studies the conceptual metaphors in 204 English and Chinese economic news headlines, and divides them into eight categories according to different origin regions: economy is a journey, economy is a game, and economy is a war. Economy is weather, economy is human, economy is architecture, economy is liquid, and idiom metaphor. Based on the common cognitive basis, the conceptual metaphors in the headlines of economic news in English and Chinese are generally consistent. However, due to the cultural environment, there are differences in the natural environment. The use of conceptual metaphors in Chinese and English economic news headlines is also slightly different. The results of this study will help English learners to understand the differences between English and Chinese cultures and ways of thinking. And then enhance the cognitive ability of foreign language and culture.
