中美道歉言语行为对比研究

【摘要】： 道歉言语行为是指能够为实际或者可能受到冒犯的听话人挽回面子的一种行为。在新世纪里,随着中美合作与接触的增多,由于不同的社会背景,文化及价值观念,在跨文化交际中,经常会出现一些误解甚至是冲突。我们认为,任何一种言语行为都反映了一定的社会准则和价值,并服务和维护那些价值观。因此,道歉言语行为能够像镜子一样反映出中美文化价值的差异。因此,为了在跨文化交际中获得更好的交际目的,提高跨文化交际能力,有必要对中美道歉言语行为进行跨文化研究。 本文首先介绍了研究的意义及研究方法。文章介绍了三种相关的理论:言语行为理论,面子理论以及跨文化交际的相关理论。其次,介绍了道歉言语行为及其实现模式的相关知识。然后,对中美道歉言语行为及实现模式进行了跨文化对比,从跨文化交际的角度解释两者间的差异且讨论了导致这些不同点的文化因素。最后,作者提出了应对这些不同点的策略,并且探讨了这些不同对英语教学、英语学习及跨文化交际的启示。 作者认为,尽管中美道歉言语行为及实现模式在某些方面有共同之处,然而基于不同的文化及价值观,在很多方面又存在差异,例如:不同的语义,频率,不同的策略选择,社会距离、相对权势等对其选择的影响。作为英语学习者,我们应当采用多种策略来应对这些差异,以期在跨文化交际中获得成功。希望本文从所发现的中美道歉策略差异中,揭示中美文化的差异,并且能对跨文化交际能力的提高有实际意义。
