【摘要】：创伤和身份是当代世界文学,尤其是少数族裔文学的两大主题。在阿富汗裔美国作家卡勒德·胡塞尼的处女作《追风筝的人》中,创伤与身份也是最突出的两大主线。该小说以20世纪70年代饱受战争磨难、政治动荡的阿富汗为背景,讲述了一个阿富汗家庭中父子复杂的生存境遇与变迁。本文将小说中相关内容与创伤和身份理论有机结合,重点分析了小说中主人公阿米尔与其父亲的差异,进一步揭示了该小说中创伤与身份之间的紧密关系,即创伤经历带来身份危机,创伤愈合促进身份构建。本文由绪论、正文和结论组成。正文部分包括四章,围绕创伤与身份两条主线展开,对比分析主人公阿米尔与其父亲在遭受不同的创伤及身份危机的情况下,采取不同的处理创伤的方式并由此带来截然不同的身份重建结果。阿米尔的个人身份危机主要表现在对于父亲和哈桑的身份困惑,从一开始回避创伤转变为正视创伤,最终治愈创伤并完成身份重建。父亲的种族身份危机表现在对于哈桑和移民美国后的身份困惑,由于从始至终都试图逃避创伤,导致身份重建失败。本文结论是创伤经历和身份危机之间存在因果关系。创伤经历可以通过恰当的途径治愈。创伤的愈合过程和身份重建过程也是互相促进的,二者密切交织,不可分割。通过小说主人公阿米尔与其父亲不同的创伤经历和身份危机,可以得出结论：创伤愈合为身份构建提供了可能,身份构建反过来又促使了创伤愈合。
