“世界终会完整”——论地方理论视域下《持家》中的“房子”

【摘要】：《持家》是美国当代著名小说家玛丽琳·鲁宾逊的处女作,是一部关于"地方"主题的小说。小说中的"房子"具有非常丰富的思想内涵和深刻的象征意义,呈现出"地方性"特征。指骨镇的居民严格区分房子的"内"与"外",这表征着人与自然以及男性与女性在"地方"上的对立。鲁宾逊在《持家》中主张超越房子"内""外"的藩篱,从而解构这种二元对立的思维模式。通过展示希薇和茹丝的新型持家模式,鲁宾逊勾勒了一幅人与自然以及两性之间和谐相处的蓝图,并且希望人类能够在"地方"中实现这一蓝图。
[Abstract]:Home keeping is the debut of Marilyn Robinson, a famous contemporary American novelist, and a novel about the theme of place. The house in the novel has very rich ideological connotation and profound symbolic meaning, showing the characteristic of "locality". The residents of phalanx strictly distinguish between "inside" and "outside" of the house, which symbolizes the antagonism between man and nature and between men and women in "place". Robinson in "keeping the Home" advocates surmounting the fence of "inside" and "outside" of the house, thus deconstructing this dualistic mode of thinking. By demonstrating Hivi and Joyce's new housekeeping model, Robinson outlined a blueprint for harmony between man and nature, as well as between the sexes, and hoped that human beings would be able to realize this blueprint in "place."
