[Abstract]:It is found that the development of modern western literature still bears the shadow of Greek mythology. This paper studies the background and significance of Greek mythology and probes into the inheritance and development of modern western literature to Greek mythology in order to provide some references for the study of modern western culture. Human civilization in ancient times was in a primitive state. Limited by vision and technology, human beings could not give a reasonable explanation for some natural phenomena, thus generating fear and respect.
