选择决定归宿：《琥珀》中琥珀悲剧命运的女性主义解读

　　凯瑟琳.温莎（1919-2003）是当代美国文坛重要女作家之一,她的代表作《琥珀》作为一部历史言情小说,生动地再现了英国王朝复辟时期的女性生活,不管是主题还是内容都很有特色,是一部具有争议的作品。自1944年出版以来吸引了众多读者和评论家的关注,在文坛上引起强烈震撼,曾一度受到文学评论家的抨击,甚至在波士顿被纳入禁书之列,但这根本阻止不了读者对它的喜爱。在1947年《琥珀》甚至被好莱坞搬上银屏,改拍成电影《除却巫山不是云》,从而进一步扩大了这部小说的影响力。国内外很多学者从不同角度对《琥珀》进行了大量研究。国外学者的研究主要放在作者的思想来源、小说的写作背景以及主题的探讨上,但针对文本的具体分析还没有看到；国内学者的研究除了对作者及其作品做整体介绍外,主要放在对文本的具体分析上,从女性主义角度、心理学角度以及叙事学的角度来研究《琥珀》。本文尝试运用西蒙娜.德.波伏娃的存在主义女性主义理论,主要是基于她的代表作《第二性》来解读《琥珀》中女主人公琥珀坎坷、悲剧的命运。《第二性》被誉为女性主义运动的“圣经”,提出了“女人并不是生就的,而宁可说是逐渐形成的。”论文由五个部分组成。第一部分为引论...
