伦理的选择与反思-《终结的感觉》之文学伦理学研究

《终结的感觉》是英国作家朱利安·巴恩斯的代表作品之一,一经出版便获得了批评家们的广泛关注,并为其斩获2011年曼布克奖。迄今为止,大多数评论者主要从历史,记忆和叙事等传统角度对此作品进行评论和分析。却忽视了巴恩斯侧重于对人的主观内心世界的剖析以及在哲学维度上对读者的伦理启示。而文学伦理学批评恰恰提供了伦理学同心理学、精神分析学方法相结合的批评平台。在学术界中,挖掘此小说中的伦理价值的研究仍不多见,且有很大局限性。因此,从文学伦理学角度分析此小说显得尤为必要。本论文通过援引文学伦理学批评的相关理论,从伦理困境的选择和伦理反思这两方面,系统分析这部作品。一方面解释文学文本中描写的不同生活现象,对不同的伦理选择范例进行解剖,分析伦理选择的不同动机。另一方面,对小说进行伦理反思,剖析伦理选择给我们带来的道德启示。此论文寻找出巴恩斯小说中的伦理思想,有意向大众传达出一种伦理态度,即在进入伦理困境时要学会正确做出伦理选择以及在生活中要积极做出伦理反思。同时,笔者采纳的这种伦理学的分析视角,作为一种有益的尝试,希望能为巴恩斯的作品研究贡献一份力量。
