美国华裔科幻作家特德·姜科幻作品的原型分析

特德·姜（Ted Chiang）是最重要的华裔科幻作家之一,他的作品获得众多奖项,越来越引起国内对他的关注。本论文以诺思罗普·弗莱（Northrop Frye）的原型批评理论为理论基础,以特德·姜《巴比伦塔》、《商人与炼金术士之门》和《地狱是上帝不在的地方》三部短篇科幻作品为研究对象,通过分析作品中出现的圣经意象、人物、叙事结构、母题等原型,展现特德·姜对于圣经的继承和创新,引发读者对当下人类精神困境的思考。论文共分为三部分。在第一部分中,第一章介绍了国内外对于特德·姜的研究现状、论文的研究目的和意义,第二章梳理了弗莱的原型批评理论的理论背景、基本观点及其理论价值。第二部分为主体部分,可分为三章。每一章分析一部特德·姜的科幻小说,三章循环深入、逐层挖掘。更详尽地说,第三章在具体研究《巴比伦塔》中的巴别塔意象原型、叙事结构原型、堕落母题原型的基础上,告诫人类若过度追求工具理性,必然堕入无尽的精神困境之中。第四章聚焦于《商人与炼金术士之门》中的先知原型、嵌入式叙事结构和追寻母题原型,鼓励堕落的人类在循环往复的命运困境中,通过追寻反思以发现人生不一样的意义。第五章详细研究《地狱是上帝不在的地...
