与他者的融合：巴恩斯小说中的身份构建

朱利安·巴恩斯是当今英国最著名的小说家之一。他与伊恩·麦克尤恩和马丁·艾米斯并称“英国文坛三巨头”。他曾三次获得曼布克奖的提名并最终于2011年凭借《终结的意义》获得该奖。在巴恩斯的创造生涯中,虽然其凭借大胆的小说小说艺术形式实验而闻名,但是他的人文关怀往往被评论家所忽视。该论文试图从巴赫金的对话理论出发解读朱利安·巴恩斯的《英格兰,英格兰》、《终结的感觉》和《时代的喧嚣》这三部小说中主人公的自我构建过程。其自我构建可分为三个阶段,即:自我的迷失,自我的解构和自我的重构。本文进一步提出三部小说中的主人公自我重构的过程也是颠覆对自我和他者间的关系的错误认识的过程。巴恩斯向读者展示了一个自我构建的方法,即在自我与他者的对话中,尊重双方的平等地位。该论文共包含五个章节。第一章为绪论,介绍巴恩斯的生平及主要文学作品,梳理回顾已有的巴恩斯研究,同时简要阐释巴赫金的对话理论并对本文的目的和框架作简要说明。第二章分析《英格兰,英格兰》中主人公的文化自我的建构,并提出其自我建构成功的关键在于其忠实于自我从从而能够恢复对正统文化的认同。第三章探索了《终结的意义》中主人公的道德自我的构建并指出其身份构建的...
